• Develop or assist in experimental designs and test plans
• Examining structural analysis of a material without destroying its original structure
• Examining the internal structures of the components for flaws and defects without destroying its original structure
• Regular visit to fields or off-site working place to keep a check on the work going on over there.
• Ensuring that proper safety measures are being taken while working with radiography
• Make sure that all the employees who ae performing the x-ray tests are all certified with BAARC
• Providing a detailed feedback to the employees after reviewing the entire report.
• Regular communication with the customers regarding the quality if testing, acquiring feedback from them
• Monitoring the specification and the standard requirements of the samples.
• Lead and actively pursue any new project opportunities.
• Examining the quality standards of the samples as per the guidelines of NABL 17025
• Providing in house training in every two years regarding measurement of uncertainty
• Regular check on the workings of each of the employee and one to one discussion on the challenges faced by them

Qualifications

BE/B. Tech in Metallurgy with at least 12-15 years’ experience in the field of mechanical and Physical metallurgy, preferably from Industry or from a reputed Third party testing laboratory.

Should have experience in analysis of cast, forged, extruded parts. Must also be capable of analyzing Functional coatings.

Must be well versed with testing equipments viz. UTM, Metallurgical microscope, hardness testers, Impact testers, Spark Emission spectrometer and wet chemical testing of different metal alloys etc.

Should be skilled in metallography and have in-depth knowledge of etchants and their chemistry for identifying different phases in metals and alloys.

An in-depth knowledge of different standards viz. IS, ASTM, ISO, ASME is an absolute must.

The suitable candidate must have experience in handling a team of 10-15 people
