1. Quality System Management

  • Support and organize Quality Internal Auditors training to ensure continual staff of trained internal auditors.
  • Coordinating with Certifying Body for audit planning, representing the management during certification and surveillance audits.
  • Ensuring the compliance of all the functions as per the IATF 16949 standard requirements through periodic planned system audits.

2. Team Management

  • Participate in selection process to identify the right talent for positions within the competency framework.
  • Determine individual training needs and development plans to build expertise and enhance quality skills in the team.
  • Manage, coach and develop a high-performing Quality team that meets agreed objectives and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements.

2. Strategy and Development

  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice quality system, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
  • Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on Quality activities.
  • Communicate to the team on past trouble data history on product and process design failures to consider during new product launches and new assembly line setups.

3. Financial and Budget Control

  • Prepare the annual Quality budget and forecasts and all Capital Expenditure proposals based on routine needs of the department and prioritize based on budgeted sales.
  • Manage the budget from identification to completion of projects by periodic reviews with team.

4. Quality Reviews

  • Monitoring of all the QA activities, inspection results, root cause analysis and identifying areas of improvement. Implement steps required to improve the processes.
  • Randomly inspects completed quality control checklists, forms, and other documents; randomly inspects and verifies quality control checks for conformance to prescribed part and product drawings & standards.

5. Customer Complaints & Field Returns Management

  • Drive sustenance audits and planned layered audits to ensure past actions are sustained and being monitored.
  • Working on product quality improvements through preventive and corrective actions.
  • Emphasize usage of quality tools for problem solving on account of customer complaints & field returns, also monitor effectiveness of actions taken.

6. Inhouse Rejections, Supplier Quality Management

  • Monitor internal rejections are in controlled manner with respect to targets and have effective root cause analysis and actions in place by use of quality tools.
  • Organize potential supplier assessments and ensure routed through change management system procedure.

Plan reviews of supplier performance and escalate to concerned team for support in cases of deteriorating suppliers.
