Job Title: Manager, Electrical Engineering

Job Location: Hyderabad, India

Responsibilities:

  • Manager, Electrical Engineering will be responsible for the technical deliverables of embedded projects delivered from India engineering Center for the Business Unit.
  • He/ She will also be responsible for managing the Embedded Team as well as managing the project management of the projects to ensure that the projects are delivered on time with the right technical quality.
  • Role is not just a People Manager and he/she should be a hands-on person and should be ready to lead/work on projects when a need arises.

Candidate Requirement:

Technical Competencies:

  • Masters or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics engineering or related field or equivalent.
  • 12+ years overall experience with strong technical experience in Product design, architecture and implementation. Also should have demonstrated proficiency in working with system/software/Firmware/hardware/ Electrical requirements development and validation
  • Experience in embedded system design with 8/16/32-bit microprocessor design
  • Excellent understanding of analog, digital and power supply design fundamentals;
  • Strong knowledge of Software & Firmware Engineering principles
  • Strong knowledge /experience with embedded systems firmware development for sensors & control application algorithm developments.
  • Experience gate / technical review process, good at documentation for technical solution
  • Capable of analyzing the root cause when there is a failure related to electrical component and can provide the mitigation and long-term solution;
  • Familiar with knowledge of EMC/EMI, CCC, UL, RoHS ;
  • Proficient in debugging instruments (digital oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers);
  • Experience in practices for Design For Test (DFT), DFR and Design For Manufacturing(DFM) background.
  • Should have good project management experience for delivering medium or high complex end to end projects. Deliver designs to schedule, accountable for meeting deadlines, following up on outstanding issues and tracking project issues to resolution.

Team Management & Soft Skills:

  • Reviews and provides strategic inputs based on market and technology trends on product and system requirements and technical specification
  • Reviews design concepts, trade off analysis in meeting the technical specs and product requirements.
  • Proactively mentors the teams & puts mechanisms in place to communicate designs effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Capable of guiding the team on possible failure modes in the design & applicable fixes before going for testing.
  • Reviews test plans, test results, design changes and provides inputs to meet the technical & product requirements.
  • Design review for functional, performance, EMI/EMC, and other aspects like (DFR/DFM/DFT). Guide team on various design documents & artifacts as per design process
  • Provide guidance & challenges design approaches to improve design robustness & Optimization through predictive analysis
  • Identify, develop and sustain a high performing team by making accurate assessments of individuals’ capabilities and performance, and providing feedback, coaching, guidance, and mentoring.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to individual team members for career growth and development
  • Excellent problem solving skills as well as keen analytical abilities
  • Working experience with Global team to deliver on sustenance projects
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders. Good people management skillsets.
  • Experience working with and effectively communicating (listen, speak, present and write) to all levels of management and build working relationship with others outside of the program team
  • Willing to travel based on need.
