Position Detailed Description:

The Manufacturing and Quality (M&Q) IT organization has been progressing through a challenging and exciting phase of transformation and SAP, including finance, HR and Supply Chain functionality has now been successfully implemented in over 50 affiliates / manufacturing sites globally. We now turn our focus more toward the business needs of the future. A critical role in the success of these activities sits with the global Supply Chain Management (SCM) Manufacturing Business Integrator position.

The Supply chain organisation has a Plan/Buy/Make/Store/Distribute/Quality account management/delivery model as well as strong links to V aluation & Control (Financial) within the SAP environment , but also with other groups within M&Q IT who deliver and support Non SAP technologies used at manufacturing sites.

The primary focus of the role will be providing integration between the business and IT, influencing the processes, tools and operating models within the relevant area. The role will involve determining the nature of the business need in order to contribute the most value-adding application of the solution. The role will also include participation in the implementation of new supply chain strategies and assessment of the impact of future releases on existing sites.

The role will focus on new capabilities MQIT delivers to integrate external suppliers or logistics service providers in Lilly Supply Chain business processes, to enable, for example, Vendor Managed Inventory, effective execution of product supply by contract manufacturing, effective quality management of sub-contracted product, and end-to-end Supply Chain visibility.

The scope of External Collaboration capabilities is broad, and the role will contribute to the elaboration of the multi-year implementation program.

The role will partner with Manufacturing sites Supply Chain organizations, External Manufacturing organizations and Global Supply Chain.

Throughout your time in this role, you will gain a broad understanding of the Supply Chain business processes, and its related SAP modules.

You will also provide support for our non-SAP external manufacturing suite of applications and manage its lifecycle taking into consideration technological road maps and implementation of new external collaboration capabilities. You will work with our application maintenance and support provider to ensure that suite of applications remain current from a lifecycle perspective and validated from a computer systems quality perspective.

Key Responsibilities:

Experience level 3-5 years

Develop a new expertise on the external collaboration tool, and how it integrates with our SAP modules (Planning, Manufacturing Operations, Quality, Inventory management, Warehouse Management, Transportation Management, Data Analytics). Develop a new expertise on external partners on-boarding, supported by the business network provider. Be forward thinking with respect to technical evolutions within the SCM systems landscape which helps to improve the user experience or functionality of the offering. Be an advocate for SCM at global, regional and local level to communicate standards and expectations. Lead, manage and participate in projects, understanding business impact, quantifying resources, and evaluating/recommending technical options. Partner with our AMS provider to support and enhance our non-SAP suite of applications. Interact and collaborate with global, regional and local Business Partners (Process Owners, Power Users, Business Process Knowledge Centres and Service/Release Managers) as appropriate, in order to better understand the business and its priorities, and represent their requirements within SCM Partner with SCM Business Partners in assessing and defining requirements and drive the development of business cases. Identify and ensure delivery of knowledge transfer needs between process owners, COE and business partners. Promote process improvement and innovation to drive business process optimisation Influence partner (Lilly and vendor) organisations in prioritisation and problem management of solution issues, including root cause analysis. Leverage ESP resources across a broad spectrum of service offerings Adhere to corporate computer systems validation policies and procedures

Required Experience:

  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality processes in IT applying to manufacturing and distribution.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form (in English), with proven success at delivering key messages to both management and peers across multiple business functions.
  • Strong understanding and application of corporate policies and procedures.
  • Ability to operate in a global and international team, working with multiple IT organisations.
  • Project leadership experience.

  • Good technical capability, in particular Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure
