I. JOB PURPOSE To provide 1st line leadership in providing high quality nursing care as per ISO/NABH/JCI norms. Ii. Key Responsibilities • To conduct round of patient s room on daily basis with staff nurses. • To update patient census in each shift. • Responsible for handling and taking over of shift which will include patient detail, medication, pending investigations status, untoward incidences, pending procedures list. • Responsible for serving as mentor to new staff, providing orientation training on ward protocols / clinical competences. • To be responsible for admissions, transfers, discharges and shifting for diagnostic or OT procedures. • Responsible to supervise clinical procedures at bed side and medicine prescription (including narcotics). • Responsible for making entries in HIS keeping a track of all entries in HIS during entire shift • To coordinate the services of all other departments like dietetics, front office, housekeeping etc. • To promote safe environment for patients, visitors, co-workers including the implementation of infection control policies of the hospital. • Any other task assigned to you from time to time. III. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS • Service Excellence • Team Player • Familiarity with equipment. • Knowledge of BLS and ACLS (Optional ) • Good knowledge of nursing practices and processes. • Computer literate. • Behavioral/Leadership Competencies • Alert and prompt. • Empathetic • Caring • Time Management skills.
