The Role

The Internal Controls Manager plays a pivotal role in building a risk based, global Internal Controls System for the company with the goal to provide reasonable assurance to Senior Management regarding the achievement of the organization’s objectives in operational effectiveness & efficiency, accurate and reliable financial reporting as well as compliance with applicable laws, regulations and policies.

What you will do:

  • Serves as the single point of contact for the Asia Pacific region and be responsible and accountable for all Internal Controls activities in the region
  • Functions as a consultant for the business by providing guidance with recommendations to strengthen internal controls, manage risk and improve efficiency of operations.
  • Assesses the effectiveness of the internal control environment and develops plans to address areas for improvement.
  • Monitors and reports the remediation status of all gaps identified, incl. findings from Internal and external Audit teams.
  • Prepares and presents regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Builds strong and cooperative relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Informs and educates employees to ensure they have the knowledge necessary to be successful in their role as control owners.
  • Monitor the segregation of duties conflicts and execution on the mitigating controls.
  • Participate in projects to ensure controls are consider and implemented, when applicable.

What you need to have:

  • University degree in Business Administration/ Finance or Information systems
  • At least 8 years experience preferably gained working in a global, matrix organization as part of an Internal Controls, Internal Audit or a similar function.
  • Ability to demonstrate logical thinking process and troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with SOX Programs and SAP (SAP GRC a plus)
  • High level of English.
  • Independent, quick learner with a very structured approach.
  • Ability to communicate and interface at all levels of a client organization including making presentations to Executives.
  • Coordination and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Experience managing a team.
  • Data analytics experience is a plus.
