Roles and Responsibilities :

Production & Operation

  • Manage production tasks that includes planning, procurement, control & trouble shooting for achieving the planned periodic maintenance schedules.
  • Prepare & implement Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
  • Implementation of all applicable quality certifications.
  • Ensure cost savings to achieve substantial reduction in terms of production, raw materials, manpower and machine utilization.
  • Manage inventory control. Resource optimization to maximize utilization of manpower/machinery.
  • Implement systems, processes and procedures to facilitate smooth functioning of overall operations, enhance operational efficiency.

People Leadership

  • Identifying deficiencies in business processes and system
  • Complaints resolution
  • Ability to effectively communicate throughout all levels of an organization.
  • To manage Unionised Cadre people and support wage settlement.

EHS & Liaison

  • Undertake regular inspections to prevent accidents and adhere to the best safety norms
  • Quality and EHS audits of customers as well as technical support to customers
  • Liaison with Govt bodies like DISH, MPCB, Labour Commissioner etc.
  • Prepare MIS report and present in Divisional Functional Committee.
  • Impart technical training to create a learning culture & motivate to reduce attrition & improve the productivity.
  • Planning for overall reliability and safety of plant, personnel and production processes.

Process Engineering

  • Drive process improvement strategy and ensure maximum efficiency in various operations.
  • Oversee the performance of subordinates, training, mentoring / motivating them to improve their contribution levels.
  • Drive initiatives towards monitoring the daily process activities, sizing of equipment by reducing down time, deploying innovative techniques for reducing batch time and thereby increasing the productivity.
  • Ensure compliance to quality standards & maintaining all related documents.
  • Improve the existing systems by adding treatment chemicals in order to obtain consistency in product quality to serve application oriented customers & implement systems in order to obtain a by-product.

Desired Candidate Profile

An established CHEMICAL ENGINEER and seasoned professional experience in Production Planning & Quality Control, Maintenance Operations, Projects, Process Improvements, Technical Services, People Management, Material Management, Dyes Industry preferred.
