The Plant Manager will oversee all daily operations of the plant from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed. They develop processes that will maximize safety, quality and productivity.

Silvassa, Dadra and Nagar Haveli

Education

B.E. / B.Tech (Mechanical engineering)/ M.Tech (Mech. Engg.)

Experience

8-15 years of experience with at least 5 years as the Head of Operations

Responsibilities

Planning and following daily production activity.

Analyse daily production.

Good Knowledge in welding, Hydraulic process.

To ensure that all necessary aids to the production are available for smooth functioning (man, machine, method, material)

Managing Production process & target achievement.

Control on maintenance against maintenance budget.

Cost & Quality control management.

Problem solving skills in technical issues.

Implementing best practices.

Organise storage and despatch activities such that finished products of required standard are supplied to customers with right quantities at the right time.

Efficient & effective performance of the unit

To lead the team of entire manufacturing facility to achieve business objective of the organisation.

improving efficiency of operations, team building and detailing project information to determine effective functions for Manufacturing operations.

Monitoring and controlling of expenses, like reduction in wastage /Overtime/ Process Rejections /Reworks/warranty claims etc.

To maintain the set quality standard under various standards such as OSHAS, ISO and other customer certification Norms.

Ensure maintenance of all machinery, equipment, plant auxiliary setups, premises etc. to be functioning at optimum levels and costs.

Plants upkeeping, best use of Infrastructures, HSE.

Able to do performance review and identify training needs for workers.

Handle 100-200 no of employees.

Handle or have experience in union /labour issues., labour laws, legal activity handled/exposure

Skills Required

• Proven work experience as a plant manager.
• Proven managerial experience.
• Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources).
• Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise.
• Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventorys.
• Computer literacy.
• Ability to create accountability and to lead by example.
• Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
