What You’ll Do
  • As domain expert in Mapsmust be open to perform activities i.e. Identify and request improvements to product owners on tools and processes; facilitate tools and process deployment and align engineering units, product unit and operations unit within map organization; stay up to date on improvements topics related to tools, processes, methods & procedure.
  • Extend operational support to project management and production group by creating project instructions, work instructions, maintaining edit best practices or guidelines, assist in project acceptance, performing data analysis and ensuring quality training and documentation are up to date.
  • Qualityfollow up on process quality and interact with project management and/or product owner in case of process deficiencies in order to suspend processes on short notice and initiate corrective and preventive actions;
  • Audit Develop and perform quality checks and quality audits to get control of data collection quality, individual performance, source material quality, supplier performance and product quality, including quality checks within production, support entire region with QMS implementation and supplier auditing.
  • Training Organize and realize training schedule for operational employees to ensure they are on the required competency and training level and ensure the validity of the processes, specifications and tools are in sync with the training module.
  • Helpdesk Ensure team holds the advance knowledge of the tools and processes within Content Operations as SPOC to answer all technical questions related to tools specifications and processes;
  • Deploymentassist in install, check and roll-out of technology environment (tools, processes & hardware, in co-operation of IT, and Product Units). Supervise that everyone is working with same actual documents (specifications, methods, guidelines) and tools.
  • Team supportmanage and support direct reports in Quality role to achieve their goals. Also enable your peers in achieving overall KPI/OKR goals of the business unit.

In this position you will
  • Allocates and controls resources within own area of responsibility; manages team assignments’ process delivery, process roll out, and implementation deadlines
  • Mentor and supervise team of Quality Coordinators as direct reports and production subject matter experts to achieve production goals.
  • Coaches and motivates team members; identifies and supports individual and other supervisor development plans.
  • Provides technical guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers
  • Adopt departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.
  • Provide first line and if need be 2nd line support to specific PU or production units.
  • Resolve defective process, avoid process gaps, and bring improvements
  • Support and perform QMS and supplier audit for specific production unit and share the outcome with stakeholders.
  • Monitor or check the effective use of tools and official documents (spec, methods, guidelines) are up to date fit for immediate up take into production.

What You’ll Need
  • 12+ years’ work experience in managing team and multiple projects in a collaborative work space.
  • College or university degree preferably in relevant domain (Engineering, or Geographical)
  • 8+ years of working knowledge in a subject matter expert role handling technical processes, associated tools, software, map specifications with expertise in relational data model.
  • Strong in Project Management abilities with Agile (Scrum & Kan-ban) methodologies with CSM certification.
  • Certified in Six sigma green or black belt.
  • Proficiency in Quality tools viz. Pareto, Histogram, Fish-bone, 5 whys, Scatter, Flowchart, Run Chart, Cause and effect.
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical, planning, facilitation, administrative, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to exchange technical and statistical information with effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills - sensitive, adaptable, professional, and articulate in a multicultural environment.
  • Strong knowledge of software applications that includes Office 365, JIRA software, Confluence,
  • In-depth knowledge of spatial databases, data inter-dependencies, technical and quality processes.
  • Solid decision-making skills; ability to work independently as well as contribute to the departmental team.
  • Ability to utilize the Map database analysis, manipulation, and automation tools (FME, QGIS, ArcMap).
  • Proficient in root cause analysis, corrective, preventive actions, retrospective and implement lessons learned.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts to people in multicultural environment.
  • Ability to Coach team members; Provide clear directions and priorities to team members and encourages teamwork and cooperation.
  • Define, establish and track key process and performance indicators
