Job Description

As a QA Engineer, you will be involved throughout the development lifecycle of Product development. You will learn and use testing best practices to perform testing. Your contributions will enable building quality products for clinical laboratories and physicians to confidently deliver patient-specific diagnosis and treatments based on an individual’s DNA.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow QA processes defined at organization level to meet quality goals set at product level
• Attend product and process trainings required to create quality deliverables at each phase of product life-cycle
• Develop automation for testing and operations activities
• Work with product teams to understand requirements / user needs ask relevant questions to get clarity and write test cases with good test coverage
• Develop and execute assigned test cases, test scripts
• Provide regular status updates and highlight risks at story/task/epic level
• Participate in daily scrum to provide plan for upcoming tasks and ask for help for any roadblocks, Keep the JIRA board updated.
• Report Issues as per defect management procedure
• Work with Development team to follow through on issues to ensure that bugs are triaged.
• Perform tool/script/WI validation activities including documentation of evidences and summary reports

Required Skills and Experience

• Exposure to developing automation scripts in Python/R/Java
• Good understanding of QA/QC concepts, white and black box testing
• Exposure to test management and defect management tools
• Problem solving and debugging skills to investigate test execution failures and fix the problem.
• Good understanding of Object Oriented Programming concepts. Programming language (Java/ Python), Database Queries - SQL & NoSQL DBs, Linux, UI & API testing.
  
• Total years of experience: 2 to 4 years.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in automating test cases using selenium web driver with Java
• Prior Experience with Healthcare and Genomics domain
• Educational background in Bioinformatics or data science
• Knowledge of Robot framework and python scripting
• Experience with RPA or other automation tools

Education

Bachelor or Masters degree in Bioinformatics or equivalent from a reputed college.
