TE Connectivity’s Quality Assurance Teams are responsible for all or part of an organization’s Quality Management System, including conformance and continuous improvement initiatives. They work on systemic evaluation of products, services, facilities, manufacturing or business processes, to ensure that standards of quality are being met. Develop and implement quality plans, programs and procedures using quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses. They reviews, analyze and report on quality discrepancies, investigate problems and executes quality audits, and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. The team works closely with manufacturing, engineering, customers, or suppliers and subcontractors to ensure requirements are met.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Ensure Incoming inspection of components & raw material as per defined procedures
  • Leading supplier development tasks by reviewing and evaluating supplier quality data to identify process improvement opportunities within the supply chain for continuous improvement and defect prevention.
  • Lead supplier quality on new development projects along with NPI team – Localization, New supplier development, Technical support to suppliers. To ensure new part launches to ensure suppliers are capable of delivering to the required quality standards
  • Carry out onsite audit for existing and new supplier approval as per VDA 6.3
  • To work with suppliers to get corrective actions using required analytical tools and to approve them with effectiveness check to avoid reoccurrence of complaints. Carry out verification audit at supplier
  • Leading internal and External audits
  • Review and approval of supplier PPAP
  • To coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for timely execution of given tasks
  • Coordination and execution of Supplier trainings, Kaizens and other development events

EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE

  • Min B.E / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering (With First Grade – Full time)
  • Exposure to various manufacturing processes (Especially injection molding, Electronics & Electrical parts, plating) is preferred

CRITICAL EXPERIENCE

  • Min 8 years of experience in Supplier Quality Function specifically in automotive industry
  • Hands on experience to handle overseas suppliers especially from Europe and China (Preferred)
COMPETENCIES
  • Excellent exposure of Supplier auditing based on automotive norms (VDA 6.3 is preferred)
  • Excellent English communication
  • Ability to take decisions based on business situation with calculated risks
  • Ability to lead team, to align them to achieve set goals with solution-oriented mindset
  • Excellent technical analytical skills using quality tools
  • Good knowledge of Excel, Power point
  • SAP knowledge (Preferred)
