Location/Division Specific Information

Business Intelligence Delivery and Operations team is part of corporate IT function under Enterprise Technology Organization. BI Team is responsible for data service, data lake and analytics services for internal customers of Thermo Fisher Scientific

The Data Integration Developer role provides an opportunity for data job seekers who currently holds a data science, data analytics, computer engineering, or like engineering degree. Individual will be working with team of data analyst, data engineers in a fast-paced bi analytics environment. The candidate will contribute to development projects, pilots and advance best design practices.

What will you do?

• Provide support related to data analytics, business reporting projects including prototyping, testing, and design
• Support global business functions for key reporting/analytics deliverables
• Be involved with many aspects of data acquisition, modeling and mapping and some design and analysis tasks
• Perform new Data Source Evaluation and Design, Data Cleansing and Preparation, ETL Development, Testing, Maintenance and Troubleshooting, Business Rule Design and Development, Relational and Dimensional Model Design.
• Creates and helps maintain technical and end-user documentation for new and existing integrations and applications
• Performs all other related duties as assigned

• 4-year degree with major in computer science engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited university (preferred) will substitute for minimum 5 years’ professional IT experience.

Tool & Technology Skills

• 4-5 years of SAP HANA Data Modeling and Data Views Development
• Strong knowledge of SAP BI Data architecture, Star schema and OLAP reporting models.
• SAP ERP application, data and processes experience is desired.
• SAP Data Services and SAP Landscape Transformation (SLT) is a plus
• Exposure to data visualization tools like SAP Analytics Cloud BI, BOBJ, Power BI
• Exposure to AWS Data Lake, AWS Lambda, AWS S3, Kafka, Redshift would be added advantage.
• Hands on implementation experience with Native HANA - HANA Modeling (HANA Studio), design and implementation of Calculation Views, Analytical Views, Queries, SQL scripting, Attribute Views, Hierarchies.
• Experience in Optimizing HANA views for best performance.
• SAP Business Objects Web Intelligence Visualizations Development
• SAP Business Objects tools including UDT, IDT, and Web Intelligence
• Data Conversions and Data Quality Management experience
• Experience in a GxP environment is a plus
