You will act as the focal point for technical management of the SAP environment. The SAP Basis Administrator responsibilities include designing, installing, configuring, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting the SAP landscape. You will lead and participate in SAP projects such as new implementations, migrations, upgrades and conversions while providing third-line technical support for SAP and other core systems.

Job Responsibilities
  • Work closely with SAP application teams and participate in complex projects and international work
  • Coordinate activities with hosting vendor and ensure goals are achieved working as one team
  • Establish technical standards and procedures to ensure efficiency and optimal performance
  • Troubleshoot critical production issues in a timely manner while communicating effectively to stakeholders
  • Maintain SAP performance by planning/executing tuning strategies and soliciting user feedback
  • Maintain integrity of the environment by managing the SAP Transport Management System, ensuring all configuration and development changes are promoted properly
  • Monitor all SAP systems: work processes, users, system logs, short dumps, locks, developer traces, system traces, disk space, etc. Develop trend analysis and strive for continuous improvement.
  • Update SAP systems as appropriate with Support Packages, LCPs, release upgrades, and other technology advancements that align with business requirements
  • Drive innovation by identifying business areas where new/different technology can provide unique benefits
  • Develop and maintain documentation including landscape diagrams, technical procedures, and runbooks
Experience

& Skills
  • 7+ years of senior-level SAP technical experience
  • SAP Basis administration such as designing technical strategies, delivering production support in a complex environment, system monitoring and performance tuning of SAP systems
  • Experience with several of the following: ERP, BW, SCM-APO, EWM, CRM, GRC, PI/PO, Enterprise Portal, Solution Manager, Content Server, SAP Gateway, BusinessObjects, TDMS
  • Knowledge of quality assurance best practices and methodologies
  • Experience managing SAP product installations, upgrades, and migration projects
  • Knowledge of other technologies such as QlikView is a plus
Experience

With The Following Technologies
  • Hardware: cloud-based infrastructure, virtualization, AWS
  • Operating Systems: Unix/Linux, Windows
  • Databases: HANA, ASE, Max DB
  • R/3 Administration: AS ABAP/ AS Java
  • Workload Analysis AS ABAP
  • SAP System Monitoring (CCMS)
  • SAP Network (Services/Flow)
  • SAP Business Process Automation (Redwood)
  • E2E Root Cause Analysis and Solution Manager Technical Monitoring
  • System Copy: OS/DB migrations, experience with TDMS
  • Must be available during evenings or weekends when required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
