This position is Software Senior Principal Engineer in one of the Dell’s flagship and customer acclaimed systems management product which provides rich feature set to manage Compute, Storage and Networking in datacenter.

What you’ll achieve
As a Senior Software Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software basis the customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment creating software solutions.
You will:

• Conceptualize and drive new features with PoCs to achieve solutions beyond product areas and influence product roadmap.
• SME in end-to-end solution stack/vertical including upstream/downstream to design and develop comprehensive integrated solutions/features.
• Be role model and provide technical leadership for team to follow design best practice and customers first mindset.
• Work in fast paced, agile/scrum development model on cutting edge technologies in delivering integrated software products collaborating with different teams.
• Develop design specs for new product features working with Technologist/Stakeholders championing focus on security, re-usability, performance, and maintainability aspects.
• Drive to resolve complexity/ambiguity and manage dependencies to accelerate solutions development.
• Be a lead and hands-on full stack developer of large-scale solutions for enterprise complexity.
• Influence peer developers with new development practices and ready to take the role of a leader of large-scale BU wide initiatives.
• Collaborate with ONE Team mindset towards feature development, ideation, shared IP, and innovation.
• Drive automation strategies along entire stack (including dependencies) to drive efficiencies and quality focus.
• Planning and schedule estimation of high-level requirements.
• Provide technical leadership by mentorship and coaching.

Essential Requirements:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science with over 15 years of software development experience with Java, C/C++ Programming.
• In-depth understanding of SDDx technologies, particularly server/storage virtualization, building scalable applications for complete datacenter lifecycle management. Extensive working knowledge in Systems management domain
• Strong foundational knowledge of how with various plug-in architectures offered in VMware/Microsoft Management frameworks such as vCenter, vRealize, System Center enable extensibility to seamless management of physical and virtual infrastructure.
• Strong hands-on application design experience with exposure to different design patterns and security practices. Strong fundamentals and extensive working knowledge in data structures, algorithms (evaluating times/space complexity), multi-threading, IPC, and socket programming.
• In-depth understanding of end-to-end solutions stack and hands-on experience in designing integrated solution with multiple components.
• In-depth understanding of protocols like REST, SNMP, WMI, WSMAN, IPMI. System calls, kernel space understanding and programming experience in Linux/ESXi/Windows OS
• Strong debugging skills in analyzing core dumps and hands on experience in debugging tools. Real time profiling of Java applications with tools like JProfiler, YourKit. Hands-on experience in security analysis tools like Fortify, Coverity, CheckMarx, Blackduck. Hands-on experience in IDEs and software development tools like IntelliJ, JIRA/GITHUB/SVN/Code Collaborator/Jenkins
• Ability to architect large scale solutions for enterprise complexity, and readiness to act as a leader of large-scale BU wide initiatives.
• Excellent team player who prioritize team’s goals first. Highly self-motivated individual with passion to drive and accelerate. Excellent written and verbal communication for effective collaboration across global teams. Agile mindset to quickly adapt to changes.

Desirable Requirements:

• Experience in Network/Telecom Management Domain.
• Experience in Python, Shell scripting and other workflow automation tools
• Experience with UI frameworks such as Angular.
• Experience in developing applications with micro service architecture.
• Experience in Kubernetes or Docker Containers
