Job Description: Sr. Designer- Structures

Job Responsibilities:
 Prepare designs, sketches and production of all types of Civil and Structural GA and detailed drawings.
 Prepare bill of quantities and materials take-off list.
 Checking and approving drawings prior to submission for customer’s review.
 Checking and approving of the bill of quantities and MTO list prior to submission for customer’s review
 Supervised and coordinated all Civil and Structural designing and drafting work within assigned projects.
 Delegates design and draft works to designers and draftsmen within the discipline.
 Coordinate with Senior and Lead Discipline Engineers for all Design and Drafting supports required for assigned projects.
 Must be able to perform site visits & inspections, data gathering activities and technical evaluations that are relevant to assigned tasks and works.
 Must be able to complete the assigned tasks and deliverables within the allotted budget and schedule.
 Must have supervisory skills to manage all discipline design and drafting works for the assigned projects.
 Responsible for the overall production and quality of all drawings, BOQ, MTO lists and other design deliverables.
 Assist in the preparation of technical details for quotations, contract documentation and technical specifications.
 Liaise with suppliers, clients, consultants or commissioning engineers concerning the design, installation or construction and commissioning of assigned work.
 Participate in the planning of projects as required.
 Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Oceanergy Quality Assurance system.
 Safety – Responsible for personal safety and safe working practices within Oceanergy and customers’ workplaces. Understand and follow basic OH&S procedures.
Essential Skills & Experience
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree/ Diploma in Drafting Technology or equivalent.
Specialization- Offshore Structures
Preferred Experiences
 Minimum 10 years total working experience.
 At least 7 years of experience in design and drafting work, preferably in Hydrocarbon facilities
 Minimum30 years experience as Senior/Lead Designer
 At least 5 years of experience in design and drafting work for infrastructure projects. (preferred)
 Familiar with International codes and standards such as ACI, AISC, BS, UBC/IBC, etc. that are relevant to design and drafting work.
 Familiar with basic International Design and Drafting standards.
 Expert user of AutoCAD and MicroStation Tekla, PDMS software.
 Experience multiple projects will be added advantage
Skill Set:
 Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team including process, mechanical, structural, electrical,
instrumentation and piping etc.
 Proven ability to collaborate with team members from project management, estimating, and project controls
 Strong organizational skills, technical competence, and attention to detail
 Proficiency in AutoCAD, PDMS/SP3D/PDS
 Strong analytical skills and ability to produce coherent, self-explanatory reports such as technical documents,
market research analysis and business advisory.
