The Opportunity:
Sr. Principal Architect (AppWorks) will be part of the global PS organization responsible for creating and delivering strategic, impactful and integrated digital solutions for clients using a combination of OpenText technologies, with AppWorks (BPM) as the prime component and complemented by other capabilities such as Document Management, Reporting and Analytics. Will also work on cutting edge cloud technologies to design and deliver solutions for the progressive enterprise.

You are great at:
Engaging with enterprise architects, business and IT stakeholders of client to understand its business, technology landscape, business scenarios and requirements in order to define integrated digital solutions for their business problems
Consulting with clients to advocate, influence and gain acceptance of proposed digital solutions that not only leverage OpenText BPM (AppWorks) and other complementing technologies from OpenText but also bring out their business value
Planning and conducting business workshops with business and IT stakeholders of the client to elicit and document business and technical requirements for complex digital solutions
Architecting and designing modular and performant solutions, based on client’s functional and non-functional requirements, and considering current state and future roadmap of the client.
Designing solutions that make appropriate and effective use of OpenText BPM (AppWorks) capabilities and features, and if required, complementing with other OpenText technologies (such as Document Management/Content Services, Analytics etc.)
Identifying and offering design choices, supported with necessary analysis and/or pros and cons, and recommending the best suited design for the given context and
Creating comprehensive documentation that supports the implementation and evolution of the solution through all stages of SDLC - Business Requirements, Functional Specification/Solution Blueprint, High-level and Low-level Design, Deployment and Configuration guides etc.
Translating proposed solution design into corresponding component/work break down structure and providing high level work estimates and schedule for implementation of the same
Working collaboratively with program/project management team within OpenText and on-client side to assist in task planning & task allocation for solution implementation and rollout.
Working with architects/developers/testers as a project team to deliver the solution as per the proposed design with utmost quality
Owning the solution quality by actively and effectively reviewing the designs and source code, and taking necessary defect prevention steps in software development
Identifying and managing the changes to the requirements during implementation, in collaboration with project management, by effectively and consistently communicating with all the stakeholders
Supporting the project team as project manager/Scrum master during implementation phase and stay close to the customer through sprint demos, user trainings and progress updates
Preparing solution and technical proposals to support presales opportunities by providing inputs on solution concept and differentiators, and high-level implementation estimates and schedule.
Mentoring and guiding technical architects and senior developers within the team with professional and technical advice
Keeping yourself abreast with new technologies/innovations happening around in digital solution space by constantly upgrading knowledge on latest technologies and standards
Quickly understanding and capturing customer requirements technically and build demos/proof of concepts to illustrate solution concept or direction
Conceptualize and building high quality demos for marketing or analyst briefings, pre-sales opportunities etc.
Travelling within the country and abroad as per project needs

What it takes:
BE/ B.Tech/ MCA/ M.Tech
15+ years of professional experience in designing medium to complex digital enterprise solutions in the areas of process automation, web applications and integration.
Excellent customer facing skills – articulation, engagement and influencing, relationship building and negotiation – with strategic focus
Excellent verbal and written communication, presentations skills.
As a technical leader, ability to influence others in the team by clearly articulating the reasons, justifications, risks, challenges, and uncertainties.
Extensive knowledge and practical experience of delivering digital solutions to global clients using modern solution paradigm such as SOA, BPM and Cloud.
Highly desirable knowledge and hands-on experience with OpenText Cordys/AppWorks, associated technologies and standards
Hands-on experience in other BPM platforms
Demonstrated understanding and application of architectural concepts, EAI patterns, solution design patterns.
Desirable understanding of general system integration principles and practices, techniques and methods
Desirable knowledge of connector design in AppWorks.
Flair for clearly documenting design choices or technical decisions made.

In depth technical knowledge on:
Service Oriented Architecture – Web Services, REST, XML
Business Process Management, Workflow, Process Automation, Case Management
W3C standards – HTML5, CSS, Javascript
Web 2.0 technologies – AngularJS, React, JQuery, TypeScript etc.
Java, J2EE, Object Oriented Analysis and Design
Various types of enterprise applications (e.g. ERP, CRM, HRM, EAI/Middleware)
Databases, data modeling
Network architectures and security
SLDC and Software development methodologies
Knowledge of software testing concepts – functional testing, integration testing, performance testing, security testing etc. – and experience working with Quality Assurance team
Experience in managing medium-sized (10-20) technical team as technical lead for delivery of the solutions
Desirable knowledge of CI/CD concepts and methodology, and exposure to related tools
Desirable knowledge and exposure to cloud platforms, Containerization concepts and related technologies
