TE Connectivity’s Technical Engineering Support Teams analyze, test and assist in research for the development of products and processes. Team members may specialize in quality control or assurance, chemical manufacturing processes, metals, electrical connectors and components, process development, materials, and/or instrumentation. They may also handle calibration, displays, network control, mold development and audiovisual work or environmental health and safety. The Technical Engineering Support Teams are responsible for the completion of assigned engineering projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines. They plan, prioritize, and manage multiple engineering projects; prioritize tasks and assign team members to ensure that the team’s overall resources are used effectively and that project deadlines are met. They evaluate and authorize changes that significantly impact the scope, budget, or timeline of a project. At times, they may work directly with customers to understand needs, gather customer requirements, identify resources and assess project risks. They create, develop, plan, write and edit operational, instructional, maintenance or test procedures for paper, multimedia or web-based publication, for non-technical and technical users.

Role Objective

The Product Technical Specialist I will report to the Supervisor Product Engineering and will be a member of the Engineering Efficiency team. He will be responsible for reviewing Product Change Notifications. Computer Aided design/drafting of products and sustaining engineering support for existing products

Responsibilities

  • Review Product change notifications and inform customer upfront.
  • Create 3D models and Drawings.
  • Create Engineering Change request and Product Change Notifications.

Education/Knowledge

  • B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum 1–2-year Experience in Product life cycle management role.
  • Knowledge of CREO and PDMLink or experience with similar design tools
  • Good Knowledge and hands on experience in PDM windchill & PLM software.
  • Good Problem solving and Analytical Skills.
  • Good understanding of Product Change Notifications.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervision linked to the Engineering team.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite
  • Good command of English skills in speech and writing

Critical Experience

  • Analytical and result-driven work is a must
  • Profound knowledge in MS Excel.
  • High Flexibility, service oriented, self-dependent, team player
  • Experience with project management and quality systems
  • Supports multinational and cross-functional project teams thru relocation
  • Proven ability to execute on deliverables
