Department Description
Distrobution production service is responsible to keep the systems running and help in business to complete their daily BAU’s without hussle. GFAS acts as a key platform which coomunicates with multiple other systems and used in client dealing, payment, pricing, distributions, letters, S&V, customer creation etc. This department always needs resource who are passionate and can go extra mile to satify business needs.
Purpose of the Role
The role will be responsible for providing support on GFAS application and connected supporting applications. This involves identifying production / pre-production issues before they occur, working on incidents, problems tickets, service requests andchange related activities.
The role demands good technical and analytical skills with a focus to build support and manage the application along with good command of RPGLE, CLLE, DB2, BATCH Jobs and analytical skills. The role involves working as a member of a global team with a follow the sun model. At this level the individual is expected to keep abreast of the latest technology developments in order to provide
trusted advisor services to colleagues and customers.
The role will also require a close coordination with management on daily status updates and providing monthly summary to management.
The role will involve providing 24x7 support as part of a team rota and some weekend working.
The successful candidate will also need to contribute to Resilience and Recovery themes, identifying reoccurring issues, bring automation, deliver strategic improvements and work with Operations/ Business/ Technology/ TIS teams in achieving the core engineering group objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Maitaning higest service levels for business and operations.
- Arresting reoccurring issues with a focus on permanent resolution.
- Understand business requirements through direct interaction with business/ operations/ technology.
- Development and maintenance of backend application.
- Works under minimal supervision to meet goals set by management.
- Meeting the SLA’s and avoid incidents.
- Any other tasks assigned by your line manager.
Experience and Qualifications Required
- In-depth knowledge of RPGLE, CLLE, DB2, Python, Batch jobs.
- Experience with supporting projects under 24x7 framework.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent analytical skills
