Join our GF_IT team within Group Functions division in India as Functional Applications Manager to help us take to the next level.


In this role you will be accountable for:

  • Single-point-of-contact (Technical Application Owner) for all functional, technical & maintenance activities for Functional Applications
  • Monitor and maintain the performance of applications
  • Review availability issues and problems to determine ways to improve availability
  • Perform regular operational checks and take corrective actions, wherever required
  • Investigate and coordinate resolution and recovery actions for assigned Incidents that cannot be resolved by the service desk, liaising with end users and relevant IT functions as required
  • Liaise with business partners to ensure existing and planned application developments are prioritized and aligned with business strategy
  • Leverage existing application portfolio for new Demands, wherever possible
  • Manage the external Vendors supporting this application portfolio
  • Owner of application repository in Service Now
  • Monitor & manage the requests on Service Now for adding new applications
  • Categorize the application portfolio into - Operational, To-be-retired, Archived etc.
  • Co-ordinate & monitor archival & retirement activities with Application owners & IT teams
  • Conduct interviews with Application owners for updating applications’ information
  • Capture Application associated infrastructure information

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Vendor management experience in a multi-vendor and multi geography scenario
  • Good working knowledge of Managing technical upgrades of applications, alongside vendor

  • Good working knowledge of Application infrastructure management

  • Good understanding of InfoSec concepts, Risk Mgmt and Data Privacy concepts

  • Experience with IT Budgeting

  • Experience with project management methodology


If you’re ITIL Certified with MS SQL and database management, experience with ticketing and service management tool’s working knowledge will be an advantage
