Roles and Responsibilities


Providing Technical solutions for routine Gearbox/drives field issues as part of NCR resolution


-Inspection of Gearbox & accessories and Drives and preparing service reports

-Provide necessary support for uptower gearbox retrofit / repair activities

- Travel to other sites for Gearbox inspection & servicing based on business requirement

- Prepare / review of Procedures, Work instructions & O&M Manuals

- Providing support for Proto field Validation

- Review of Oil sample analysis report

- Support failure analysis


  • Site Support -
  • To Provide timely support and decision making for drive train related issues at sites thereby supporting in reducing the downtime
  • To Provide and ensure effective coordination with supplier for gearbox repair at site and monitor the quality of repair work done
  • Responsibility in repairing the gearboxes/drives which are in out of warranty case
    • Gearbox Operation & Maintenance To ensure general audit for condition of Gearboxes & Drives , oil change at site, collecting oil samples on regular intervals
    • Documentation To prepare/review work instructions/procedures/reports for service related issues in Gearboxes
    • Failure Analysis To provide inputs for carrying out root Cause Analysis for Gearbox and accessories & Drives related failures
    • TCI Supporting proper implementation of TCI,EI
    • Proto Validation - To provide support for Proto validation of Gearboxes & accessories /drives at site

    Inspection and validation of Gearbox / Drives at Field / Supplier end, Knowledge of Mechanical Power Transmission elements, Should be familiar with Wind Turbine Gearbox, Should have knowledge in lubrication and condition monitoring

    Travel required based on requirement

    Coordination with SBU is required

    Should be able to coordinate with supplier during repair at site

    B.E (Mechanical) or D.M.E
