Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role in Agartala for a Gender Expert. The Gender Expert will be responsible for analyzing social and gender dimensions and carrying out the gender analysis to recommend solutions for integrating gender equality and human rights into MaRS projects. The Gender Expert will be required to work closely with the technical team, external consultants, and clients to identify and incorporate gender-sensitive approaches and recommendations.

Qualifications

  • At least a Master’s degree in Gender Studies, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field
  • Minimum five years of relevant experience in gender-sensitive analysis, gender mainstreaming in development projects, and/or gender and development work in India
  • Expertise in gender and social analysis, gender-responsive budgeting, gender and governance, women’s economic empowerment, and gender and the environment
  • Knowledge of international and national gender policies, gender and development frameworks, and human rights instruments
  • Understanding of sustainable development goals and gender-sensitive indicators
  • Understanding of monitoring and evaluation frameworks in gender and development
  • Strong analytical and research skills, including qualitative and quantitative data analysis
  • Excellent communication skills, including report writing and presentation skills
  • Experience working with international development organizations and government agencies is a plus
  • Guiding CAPPC experts in implementation GESIAP activities
  • 10 Yrs Experience in community mobilization & social development.
  • Experience of working in # ADB/ World Bank / JICA funded project.
