Aufgaben
Main Accountabilities
1. Tax Planning:
1. Tax Planning:
- Design and implement tax planning projects based on local taxation regime Provide tax input on business projects to other departments
- Provide India tax input to Global and Regional tax teams on special projects/requests.
- Ensure compliance with all indirect tax requirements
- Ensuring timely remittance of all taxes.
- Responsible for timely filing of all indirect tax returns.
- Manage and supervise the GST audit processes
- Ensure high level of accuracy in TDS, GST and Advance Tax depositions to avoid any significant over payments, short payments and refunds
- Ensure all FATCA related Compliances
- Ensure all local and HQ related Internal Control Requirements
- Maintain and further develop the relationships with external consultants/tax experts and different India tax authorities in order to ensure full support is provided for all Tax related proceedings
- Work closely with the tax consultants in handling tax assessments/ Litigations
- Maintain updated MIS – summary and details of year wise assessment status / legal status both for Direct and Indirect taxes and to update the CFO and board on all such litigations.
- Ensure timely completion of Statutory Audits, Tax Audits, TP Audits and other such audits with the statutory deadlines without any overruns
- Maintain cordial relationship with all auditors with high level of compliance and integrity
- Ensure that appropriate internal controls are in place over accounting for taxes Coordinate with project accounting for adequate system design for tax accounting.
- Ensure Advance Tax, 26AS TDS credit, Self-Assessment Tax paid and provision for tax are reconciled with books of accounts on a quarterly/yearly basis
- Develop / maintain tax related systems / processes of the organization
- Periodically perform health checks of such systems and processes
- Ensure tax refunds are followed up and received on a timely basis
- Own and drive team performance of both FTEs and Non-FTEs
- Have detailed in depth understanding of tasks being performed by the respective team members
- Set clear expectations and monitor / review performance periodically
- Timely & on point response to all HQ / RO / Local queries on all Tax related topics
- Work within F&C and across other teams with an aligned approach
- Align system changes with all stakeholders
Qualifikationen
1. Education & Work experience - Work experience: Minimum of 7-8 years post qualification experience in Taxation, preferably in financial services industry
- Education: Qualified Chartered Accountant/Cost Accountant or with relevant industry experience
- Ability to plan and prioritise activities whilst maintaining accuracy and adhering to strict deadlines
- Ability to communicate and explain impact of tax laws and tax changes to other lines of business as well as internally within the team
- Proactive attitude, willing to take ownership of problems and resolve them to a satisfactory conclusion within pre-determined timeframes. The ability to ask the “right” (problem/solution focused) question
- System skills – Excel at advanced level, updated knowledge on the returns filing tools for various state and central laws
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to take ownership of a task or process and see it through from inception to completion
- Detail oriented, self-motivated, and an ability to appropriately prioritize
- Ability to work closely with various consultants and get work done in a timely and accurate manner
