Roles and Responsibilities :

• Responsible in designing and developing MSTR reports anddashboards using multiple data sources.
• Independently perform data quality analysis and create reports offindings.
• Create data modelling solutions for business requirements.
• Utilize complex expressions to calculate, group, filter,parameterize, optimize and format custom reports anddashboards.
• Determine the right graphs/charts to use based on the type ofdata and create visually smart dashboards.
• Promote components across dev, test and PROD environments.
• Unit/integration test the developed components.
• Troubleshoot processing issues impacting timely availability ofdata in the delivery of critical reporting within established SLAs. •Identifies, recommends and implements technical improvementsin production application solutions or operational processes indelivery of reports and existing functionality.
• Researches, manages and coordinates resolution of complexissues through root cause analysis as appropriate •Establishes and maintains relationships with technical leads of keyoperational sources systems providing data to reports.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with technical leads of keyinfrastructure support areas, such as system/Infra engineers.
• Participate in daily standup meetings.
• Ensure adherence to established problem / incident management,change management and other internal IT processes •Responsible for communication related to any day to day issuesand problem resolutions. Communication may include directdepartment management as well downstream/upstreamapplication contacts and business partners. •Participates in production migrations and upgrades, developsprocesses for sustaining the EDW & BI environment and ensuresimplementation of the same.

Desired Candidate Profile :

• 3-5 years of experience in designing and developing reports anddashboards using Microstrategy Desktop/WEB for variouscustomers.
• Hands-on experience in development of reports, cubes,dashboards, scorecards , maintenance experience inMicrostrategy 9.4.1 and above.
• Should be proficient in schema modelling and Freeform SQLreporting.
• Able to create complex filters and prompts, good in transactionaland conditional filter scenarios.
• Should be knowledgeable on enterprise manager, alerts via email,events and triggers.
• Good conceptual knowledge and working experience on MSTRmetadata, creating reporting specifications,integration/system/unit testing and UAT/PROD implementationsupport.
• Strong hands-on experience in Oracle (11g and 12c) PL/SQL programming, Teradata DB, developing complex views, storedprocedures, functions and implementing best practices in PL/SQLprogramming.
• Experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization using VLDB and database query tuning techniques.
• ETL tool experience and Unix shell scripting will be an advantage. Datastage/Talend/Informatica knowledge is preferable.
• Possess a strong technology, data, and production support background.
• Experience with production batch scheduling (like CAWA) and monitoring is advantageous.
• Experience working with onshore/off shore support team is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills for assessment of complex production support issues and recommend / implement effective solutions
• Natural technical and functional curiosity.
• Familiar with Agile Methodology.
• Team player with excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
• Self-motivated and ability to learn and research issues independently.
