The Role:
ManagerHR- Engineering Center

Dematic has an immediate need for a Manager, Human Resources based in Pune, India. This position will be responsible for building an Engineering Center in partnership with the local senior leadership team. From project creation, through project execution, the Manager Human Resources India will be in charge of the full life-cycle of people related activities – talent acquisition through talent development and drive a strategy around attracting, developing and retaining talent. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic human resources leader to partner with the global organization to develop an Engineering Center, which best positions Dematic to continue to gain market share by anticipating and meeting the strategic objectives of our customers.
Candidates for this position must have demonstrated success as a Human Resource leader. The Manager, Human Resources India will serve as a trusted adviser to the key leadership team utilizing extensive experience in establishing a new operation and ensuring its successful execution.
This role will motivate their team to achieve goals within an environment of excellence by building exceptional talent capabilities. This role is a combination of a hands-on execution position with the opportunity to lead strategy initiatives across the business unit.
Specifically, the Manager Human Resources India will be responsible for:

  • Leveraging local knowledge and HR expertise, establish an Engineering Center in India.
  • Develop an attraction and retention strategy, brand establishment and capability/competency building.
  • Establish a HR team to support the development of the Engineering Center.

Upon building the Engineering Center, the Manager HR India will oversee the following:
  • Partner with the Leadership team to guide critical talent decisions, succession planning, talent development and performance management.
  • Counsels and assists management on turnover control, compensation, performance management, and other human resources matters.
  • Deploy positive employee relations strategies.
  • Supports the planning and strategy for the Engineering Center in the areas of recruitment and talent management.
  • Uses metric and data to enable business leaders by identifying trends and recommend solutions to improve performance, retention, and employee engagement.
  • Supports the development of a strategy to recruit and retain diverse, world-class talent that will allow Dematic a competitive advantage over competition.
  • Builds leadership and management capability to facilitate an open and inclusive environment
  • Leads complex employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.

What We Are Looking For:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • 10+ years of direct applicable Human Resource Leadership experience in global, fast paced, innovative, engineering / technology company
  • Experience working in a global role in a matrix organization
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of Human Resources areas including Talent Development,Performance Management,Succession Planning, Employee Relations, Employee Engagement, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Diversity and Inclusion.
  • Demonstrated ability to build credibility and confidence with a wide variety of leaders as a trusted adviser and confidant.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, including strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and business analysis skills
  • Demonstrated ability and experience working effectively in a self-directed, proactive, results-oriented, complex, fast-paced environment across all levels.
  • Willingness to travelas required.
