Summary:

  • Leads & Support APAC India IRS NPDI Roadmap Projects to ensure Supply Chain architecture design and Manufacturing process setup will support Global Customer Requirements.
    • Lead time offer, Product cost and productivity
    • Capex and project Opex finance analysis and budget control
    • Lead the industrialization of NPDI projects (quality, service, lead time, costs and capital engaged, and achieving the expected Time to Market)
    • Analyze the Marketing inputs and translate them into industrial data
    • Influence the design of the products from the most upstream phases of the NPDI process: Simultaneous and collaborative design of products, processes and flows
    • Lead the global Supply Chain design in collaboration with Supply Chain deployment, purchasing and downstream supply chain
    • Lead the design and Implementation of manufacturing processes for new offers
    • Manage the manufacturing process and flow qualification in collaboration with Supply Chain region including manufacturing plants & Global ODM’s in order to prepare a successful industrial introduction
    • Is liaison & single point of contact between GBU & Global Operations/Procurement teams
  • Integrate the product offer requirements in the design of processes and flows, promote late differentiation of products and maximum standardization of materials, components, and subassemblies
  • Influence/Collaborate with Vertiv Corporate Supply Chain Teams on NPDI Roadmap & Global Industrial Strategy. Also Introduction of innovative industrial technologieswhen the product offer requires
  • Define the mandatory requirement for key processesand manage it during the life of the project.

Responsibilities:

  • Participates on New Product Development Team (NPD) Global project team as the Industrialization representative to drive design for manufacturability.
  • Insure DFx is applied during NPDI project
  • Coordinate the manufacturing requirements of new parts, from project concept to release of new products
  • Direct all stages of prototype builds and pilot runs
  • Extensive communication and participation in project meetings

  • Works with Manufacturing Engineers and Materials teams to develop documentation for new products (bills of material, routings, and manufacturing instructions).
  • Communicate project requirements’, actions and status with other departments

  • Operations Plans
  • Manufacturing Process Flow Charts
  • Production Readiness Evaluations
  • Cost Analysis - cost estimates and standards costing
  • Specifies new equipment and tooling requirements for new products
  • Also, responsible for Strategic Partners & ODM vendor Industrialization
  • ATE Function. Responsible for oversight of the new offer product Automatic tester development. DFT review, PCBA ICT, FCT development and Product Function test.
  • Cost Function. Responsible for new offer cost include the Material cost and Labor & Overhead cost study and following. Focus on the Design for Cost and cost analysis and reduction plan at each new product design phase.
  • Component Function. Responsible for oversight of the new design component qualification. Include Tooling analysis. Parts Quality. PQCS.PQCP, PPEP and Compliance check.
  • Provide Lean Manufacturing expertise and training for all lean improvement teams.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge in New product development (PMP) process.
  • Strong knowledge in ITEI Product (Rack, Small Thermal, UPS, Rpdu, & Solution’s) development & manufacturing process.
  • Strong knowledge in the SC&M management and architecture build.
  • Knowledge in the New manufacturing production line setup.
  • Excellent knowledge in project management.
  • Knowledgeable in PCBA manufacturing process.
  • Knowledgeable in New Product Design DFM/DFX. FMEA, Control Plan.
  • Knowledgeable in lean manufacturing.
  • Knowledgeable in Parts Commodity management.
  • Knowledgeable in the Product Cost Management.
  • Knowledgeable in MS Office (Power Point, Excel, Word)
  • Knowledgeable in Problem Solving Tool’s (ie. FMEA, DOE, Quality Tools, etc)
  • Knowledge in 6 Sigma. ( Green Belt certificated and Black Belt Training certificated)
  • Excellent experience for cross culture communication and leadership.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering/Technology, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 7 - 10 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering teams.
  • Well-developed administrative skills
  • PC and business software - word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and project management tools
  • Project Management
  • Communication Skills - Customer Oriented
  • NPD/NPI Experience
  • Advance Manufacturing Training/Exp (ie. Lean, Six-Sigma, etc.)
  • (Preferred) Lean Manufacturing and/or Six-Sigma certification
