Role Description

Engineer is responsible for managing or performing work across multiple areas of the bank’s overall IT Platform/Infrastructure including analysis, development, and administration. It may also involve taking functional oversight of engineering delivery for specific departments. Work includes: •Planning and developing entire engineering solutions to accomplish business goals •Building reliability and resiliency into solutions with appropriate testing and reviewing throughout the delivery lifecycle •Ensuring maintainability and reusability of engineering solutions •Ensuring solutions are well architected and can be integrated successfully into the end-to-end business process flow •Reviewing engineering plans and quality to drive re-use and improve engineering capability •Participating in industry forums to drive adoption of innovative technologies, tools and solutions in the Bank.

Your key responsibilities

  • Support user on Technical & Functional queries via phones / emails
  • Understand the business process and WM operations to support business queries.
  • Work closely with business and IT Vendor / IT L3 support team to get the issue resolved based on the priority.
  • Manage end to end co-ordination of the tickets assigned with prioritization of incoming requests.
  • Flexibility in work hours will be required based on the priority of the issues.
  • Perform health check and publish the report.
  • Respond to tickets raised by users and provide Level-1 and Level-2 support.
  • Respond to job failure alerts and take remedial action.
  • Troubleshoot issues in existing scripts and develop, wherever required.
  • Participate and perform DR / BCP exercise.
  • Work closely with Development team to get a complete understanding of functionality changes and issues
  • Problem solving skill to troubleshoot issues in production environment by analyzing the logs and errors.
  • Incident, Problem and Release Management.
  • Monitoring of Online and Batch Jobs.
  • Event monitoring and management via a 24x7 workbench that is both monitoring and regularly probing the service environment.

Your skills and experience

Business & Technical Skills

  • Perfect oral and written skills in English.
  • Knowledge of Banking, Trading and Digital platforms.
  • Should have a clear understanding of L1 / L2 / L3 Production Management Process.
  • Should have exposure to working in multi-technology, multi-country environment
  • Deep understanding in incident and release management process. ITIL foundation certification is preferred.
  • Ability to listen, analyze, influence, negotiate and use judgment to solve complex issues within SLA to accomplish project goals.
  • Knowledge in IT risk policies to safeguard production environment and data.
  • ITIL 4 Foundation certification is preferred.

Soft Skills

  • Very customer / service focused and delivery oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills, ability to interface with all levels of management
  • Expectations and stakeholder management
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task in a high-stress, high-pressure environment. Be very stress-resistant
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) skills in English.

Experience & Exposure

  • Minimum 5+ years overall QlikView and Qlik Sense administration experience
  • 5 + years’ working knowledge of Windows Server architecture
  • Working knowledge of multi-node Qlik Sense/QlikVIew server installation, configuration, administration, security approaches, performance tuning
  • Perform Qlik Sense/QlikView administration services via Management Console: managing licenses, setting up permission, designing folder structure & scheduling tasks for publishing purposes
  • Install, configure and upgrade QlikView, Qlik Sense/QlikVIew application Analyze Windows Event logs and Qlik Sense/QlikVIew Server log files to troubleshoot and solve issues
  • Must have experience handling administrative tasks such as system monitoring and maintenance, code migration, extensions and connector installations, backup configuration
  • Demonstrated knowledge of security by design and remediation of security web and IP vulnerabilities in Qlik
  • Understanding of High Availability and Networked Storage solutions including Clustering, Failover and Disaster Recovery products
  • Identify potential solutions to resolve and prevent service interruptions
  • Administer/maintain access to Qlik Sense/QlikView Management Console
  • Pro-actively monitor the Qlik Sense/QlikVIew environment to ensure performance and scalability
  • Perform load/regression testing on dashboards where needed.
