We are looking for a Senior Software Developer with proven API experience to join our professional services team. The position requires expert-level communication with our customers/clients and their developers.

The initial project is custom integration work (user, order, and billing management) running on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with support from the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team.

It will be executed in Golang using our standard development stack.

The professional services team will consist of 3-5 when fully resourced and so there will be plenty of growth opportunities.

It is expected that the candidate thinks full-stack, tests, and works independently and in a group environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with our customers/clients to integrate them into our platform
  • Work with internal teams to facilitate communication between the customer and R&D
  • Develop software integration solutions and documentation that can be reused as a framework
  • Create solutions that are not customized on our end, but provide the interface to client solutions to solve business problems
  • Follow best practices to write clean, maintainable, scalable, and tested software
  • Work collaboratively with the Engineering Manager or Product Manager to design solutions that help our enterprise partners leverage the platform through APIs
  • Track and provide metrics of the state of integration and project work

Skills & Qualifications

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience building and building against APIs
  • Bachelors degree in software engineering or computer science, or an additional year of experience in a related field.
  • Cloud experience is requirements, experience with the Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Golang is considered an asset
  • Communication skills, both written and verbal, to work with high-value enterprise customers/clients
  • Experience or strong understanding with high scalability, data-intensive, distributed applications
  • NoSQL and the ability to write comprehensive documentation is considered an asset
