Purpose of the job (brief summary):

An Account managers main role is to drive the sales at PAN India to the assigned sector and also retain customer in assigned sector and nurture those key relationships over time. Ideally, they become a strategic partner and advisor to the client, discovering new opportunities to work together for mutual benefit.


Key Tasks/Responsibilities:

1. Looking after assigned customers, professionally provide information about products and services, take/ cancel orders, or obtain details of complaints and provide solutions.

2. Record Opportunities with existing customers and convert them into sales and maintain total lifecycle of orders.

3. Search for new customers in the assigned sector, Opportunity generation and increasing market penetration.

4. Become a single point of contact with customer and coordinate with internal departments and teams to give customer a seamless experience.

5. Our main goal is to keep up with the latest developments at customer end and ensure you know everything about their requirements, new important contacts at the customer side& other branches and prospects.

6. One important role is to upsell our other products to the same customer and increase the revenue per customer per month.

7. This profile is all about relationship building with the customers and ensuring the customer regularly orders and is fulfilled with their requirement from time to time.

8. Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer’s complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution.

9. Keep records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, and comments, as well as actions taken.

10. Follow up with internal team to ensure that appropriate actions were taken on customers’ requests.

11. Sales people will also explore new prospects and understand key account’s pain points and will work to get a solution which the company can do.

12. Sales people will also communicate case studies about product application and usage which will concrete our technical leadership in the area.

13. Site Visits / Meetings if possible, via digital or physical method to assist in problem identification and solution validation.

14. Manage personal relationships with customers and be their first person to connect to get solutions.

15. Ready to travel Pan India on a regular basis to visit customers.


Experience & Education:

  • Education: BE / BTech: Electronics (or) Electrical (or) Instrumentation (or) Mechanical
  • At least 3-4 years of working in Sales
  • preferred experience in oil & Gas sector
  • Previous experience with B2B product/Service Industry
  • Communication skills + Soft Skills
