Purpose: To develop, enhance and expand the current business footprint of Maiva across markets in the stream of injectables.

Strategic Planning to expand business:

  • Conduct Market Research and track competitor’s activities to identify new avenues and customer needs
  • Generate leads in the target territory
  • Take steps to network with potential clients and other pharma contract organizations in the region; attend industry events, such as trade/ association meetings, exhibitions, and conferences
  • Organise meetings at exhibitions and roadshows
  • Facilitate generation of MIS Report providing the relevant inputs to use data for further analysis. Proposal Tracker, Business Closure analysis, Preparation of business forecast and annual sales budgets

Proposal management:

  • Discuss with cross functional teams to develop proposals for development of new injectable formulation product. Write business proposals, review contracts; participate in commercial negotiations and business agreement discussions
  • Support the complete cycle right from identification of opportunity to commercialization of new product
  • Guide client relationship with sales from first contact to delivery; follow up and maintain client relationship for more opportunities
  • Carry out pricing discussions with finance team agree on a price for required products
  • Finalise the budget for each product in discussion with cross functional teams

Maintain client relationships:

  • Manage client relationship and client expectations independently; Coordinate site visits
  • Develop strong relationships with different departments within the company to ensure everyone is working toward the same targets and goals
  • Manage and achieve financial, operational, and other measures as defined in deliverables and/or KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) established for the client(s) as part of an on-going client relationship

People management:

  • Coordinate with SCM team for effective distribution management
  • Align with cross functional team to address customer queries on time
  • Mentor and develop direct reports to ensure all projects are appropriately prioritized and key goals are met on time

Job specifications:

  • MBA /B.Tech Pharma/Chem Engg graduate with atleast 3-5 years of experience in formulation business (preferably injectables)
  • Experience of managing key relationships, execution of contracts in the key accounts
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Self-starter and drives actions with passion
  • Strong convincing and influencing skills
  • Commercial awareness and Business acumen – a real interest in both sales and marketing
  • Ability to understand complex products of a scientific nature
  • Ability to think in advance about potential risks and mitigation plans
  • Logical Thinking – Able to think analytically, use a systematic and logical approach to analyze data, problems, and situations

Compensation: 8-10 LPA

Reporting structure: This position will report to the Head of Business Development
