Responsibilities:

Plan, develop and implement a global sourcing strategy which includes vendor management / rationalization for bill of materials.
Inventory Control: Set stock norms with JIT techniques for maximum turns with timely availability of materials.
Call offs: Provide support to Plant Managers as and when required for Call offs based on MRP cycle to ensure no line stoppages with proactive and immediate corrective actions as required.
Contracts & Cost Reduction: Ensure detailed costs sheets are in place to achieve targeted costs and payment terms, market benchmarked and targeted annual BOM reduction. Ensuring actual material cost to be better than the budgeted material cost to achieve product wise VAR via negotiations as well as alternatives and value-added activities.
Responsible for developing vendors for outsourcing of peak load.
Responsible for non-production related sourcing (Capital equipment/consumables/logistics)
Ensuring the quality standards for vendors as per the agreed norms for the incoming material and CQD improvement plan set up.
Conversant with SEZ rules and basic commercial function.
Responsible for Annual budgeting and material cost of company margin.
