Director of Academic Operations


WeVandey Consultancy Services Pvt Ltd Is hiring for one of our leading US Client. They are the world’s first non-profit, tuition-free, American accredited, online university and now seeking an experiencedDirector of Academic Operations in India who will report to the Senior VP for India Operations.


The Director will provide management and handle operations-related functions for the Academic Affairs department. The Director will manage teams to achieve the mission, goals and objectives of the department. The Director will also partner with faculty and Academic Affairs leadership on departmental affairs.


Job Location:Mysore


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Responsible for implementing academic operation strategies and set priorities accordingly
  • Manage a cohort of Team Leaders who oversee the day to day operations of teams such as Recruitment and Onboarding, Workforce Planning and Scheduling, Human Resources and Faculty Support, FacultyTraining and Development, and Academic Integrity
  • Establishes the parameters to empower department Team Leaders with the authority to accomplish their duties
  • Works in daily collaboration with the Academic Affairs Department Chairs and the Executive VP for Academic Operations to resolve academic issues.
  • Applies management principles to ensure optimal performance throughout the department
  • Oversees operational systems and processes while looking for opportunities for improvement or revision.
  • Measures and report on operational performance and develop plans to improve relevant key performance indicators
  • Day to day management and coordination with other stakeholders of the university
  • Hires, leads, coaches, supervises and develops staff as required
  • Ensures seamless business execution and reinforces positive morale
  • Works closely with relevant offices managers to ensure all operational, administrative, and compliance functions within the department are being properly executed in accordance with regulatory-based best practices
  • Recognize great performance and address performance issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • MA graduate
  • 5+ years of experience managing teams
  • Experience in managing projects and leading operational areas
  • Experience in HR Operations a big advantage
  • English at mother-tongue level
  • Relevant experience within the higher education sector a big advantage
  • Experience working and managing in a global organization an advantage
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems and excel reports an advantage.
