We have an exciting opportunity for a Executive in our Operations team.

What you’ll do:

.

  • Support Country Liner Manager in identifying prospective Customers, Business Opportunities,
  • Assessing Customer needs in terms of promoting our Liner Services primarily for Containers. Use your own network to bring in customers/business in short span of time to quickly establish NVOCC business model.
  • Development of Container volumes primarily Ex. Mumbai, Gujarat & other western India region or candidate’s home location. Providing rates to assigned clients as per their requirement for Different Sectors and Different Ports within Principal’s service profile.
  • Ensure adherence to principal’s procedure/SOP. Applying promptly corrective actions to the service failures and ensuring that they do not reoccur in the future.
  • Evaluate information /results and choose the best solution to solve problems. Keeping abreast of all operational matters with clients and providing updates to reporting Manager.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the accuracy and timely updates and application of system to meet the principals’ requirements and KPI within company set parameters. Achieve set commercial targets.
  • Co-ordinate with the Liner Ops and other Docs executives to ensure a consistent, effective, and professional delivery of services are taking place and consistent with customer instruction and prescribed corporate guideline.
  • Generating Daily, Weekly and Monthly sales reports and submitting the same to HODs.
  • Proactively search, qualify, develop and engage in new customer relationships. Provide Post-Sales support to all Existing and New Clients. Outstanding Execution of Sales Strategies consistently across the assigned Zone.
  • Provide a full range of administrative and clerical support to the Port Managers, to ensure smooth functioning of the business through consistent, fair and equitable administrative practices and in congruence with the QMS standards of the company.
  • Weekly/Monthly preparation and submission of Operational Liner report to provide updates of performance and any irregularities and to ensure monthly submission of other operation, commercial and quality assurance reports

Who you are:

  • Hands on 3-4 yrs of experience, in either NVOCC operations or Shipping liner agency function. A proven track record in driving Strong Performance of Sales activities.
  • Candidate should have in-depth knowledge of Shipping Line, NVOCC, Freight Forwarding products such as Sea/Air Import and Exports, Project Cargo, ODC, Ro-Ro, Break Bulk/Commodities etc.
  • Process expert knowledge in Container vessel operations, Custom house agency (CHA), Container freight station (CFS) & ICD. Good knowledge of processes and documents on import and export field and exceptional cargo (supplier conditions, Inco terms, basic customs regulations, tariffs.
  • Candidate should have experience of Liner / NVOCC Sales & Marketing with knowledge / contacts of freight / project forwarders (both local & multi-national).
  • Excellent inter-personal, presentation and communication skills (both written and oral). good customer service awareness, with ability to interact with senior stakeholders and build good engagement levels.
  • Good Time Management with leadership & decision-making ability including multitasking, prioritizing, and the ability to plan work activities efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Sound PC knowledge including MS Office Suite and proficiency on English language. Comfortable in working in a fast-paced environment where each day brings new challenges.

Educational Requirement:

  • Must be a Graduate from Recognized University
  • PGDBM/PGDIB/MBA will have an added weightage.

Essential Skill Requirement:

  • Should have minimum 3-4 years’ experience with NVOCC & or Freight Forwarding Industry.
  • Ability to sense opportunities for selling various project businesses on special containers.
  • Team Leader and Result Oriented.
  • Fluent in English and local language.
  • Presentable, Good Communication Skills, Good Analytical Skills
