Roles and Responsibilities

Workshop Operation

• Supervise the maintenance and repair of all of the vehicle fleet, including Tractor Trailers, Reach Stackers, and other technical support equipment (electrical, electronic and mechanical) ensuring that overhauls, preventative maintenance and repair are done in a cost effective manner, with attention given to quality and longer duration of equipment.
• Ensure optimum plant and equipment availability and reliability through effective maintenance.
• Ensure that the equipment is maintained in a safe and reliable working condition in accordance with planned preventive maintenance program and to identify and rectify repetitive problems
• Review new equipment for suitability and make recommendations, based on cost, availability, and needs of business operations.
• Ensure that planning, scheduling, and unscheduled repairs are carried out efficiently and cost effectively, with quality service.
• Oversees the administrative requirements of the Workshop, including warranty obligations, inspection records, manual updates, equipment defect reports, maintenance services, policies, procedures, and practices.

Equipment & shift allocation

• Perform job/ area allocations to each equipment manually or in the system on the basis of equipment and manpower availability at the beginning of each shift/ day
• Report and monitor the unresolved breakdown from the "Shift breakdown register" and get the same resolved with help of 3rd Party or vendors
• Monitor the AMC / FMC performance on the basis of service checklist and verify the same post completion of AMC
• Ensure contractual compliance for AMC / FMC vendors as per the service checklist

Safety, Health and Environment

• Ensure nil lost time accidents through robust implementation of safety guidelines
• Drive a culture promoting focus on environment, health and safety across the organization
• Strengthen employee engagement levels in operations team building a positive working climate for all team members
• Follow all the guideline as per mines act and guide lines of DGMS & State mining regulatory authorities

Competencies:

• B. tech/ Diploma in Mechanical/ Automobile Engineering with 8-12 years of Experience
• Typical role requires an experience of ~8-12 years in mining having exposure in HMV maintenance
• Hands on experience in planning & execution of mining equipment maintenance & commissioning.
