Career AreaManufacturing & Supply ChainJob DescriptionJob Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:Manufacturing And Tooling Engineer
  • Support Shift operations, Troubleshoot day-to-day Assembly Line issues and develop solutions.
  • Prepare and Maintain Assembly value stream documents like SWS/SWES/PFMEA etc.
  • Procure material related to manufacturing improvements like Tackles/Masks etc through external suppliers.
  • Analyze Quality issues related to BIQ / ADQ / 8D and take corrective actions.
  • Conduct Cycle time studies and perform Line balancing. Plan for Capacity as per S&OP process.
  • Prepare and Maintain Facility Layout ; Line layouts; External yard and other layouts required for IF/PCB etc
  • Prepare and Maintain Mfg engineering documents – Specification check sheet
  • Interact and Co-ordinate with Global Engineering team on specifications and other related activities for NPI
and NSI projects and CPPD activities.
  • Programming of various equipment like Leak tester ; Number marking machine etc for NPI ; NSI ; AFM
transmission models coming up for build when required.
  • Respond to customer issues and lead process improvements in line.
  • Conduct Safety & Quality checks in line , Prepare and update SFMEA’s and take up Ergo studies in line
as required.
  • Ensuring the timely building and maintenance of Tools, jigs, fixtures, pallets, equipment and gages for the
shop floor including special tooling requirements when needed.
  • Maintain tool drawings and ensure tool availability in the line
  • Plan and Implement NPI ; NSI ; AFM and NCI projects for Line.
  • Administering company practices and initiating improvement action and cost avoidance.
  • Design and develop Poka-yoke system in Line.
  • Prepare BOM and Routing in CBS / SAP.
Required Qualifications
  • University or technical school degree in a Manufacturing Engineering-related degree;
  • Thorough knowledge of manufacturing and industrial engineering concepts; and
  • Good communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Good knowledge of Process and Tooling design.
  • Hands on experience in Tooling concepts ; Tool design and Tool drawing in Autocad / Pro E.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment for 2 to 4 years.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of employees and customers.
