  • Sales Planning
  • Receive the finalized Annual Operating Plan (AOP) targets around sales, renewals, product mix, etc. for the region, from the superior, basis last year’s business, organization’s growth agenda / strategy, etc.
  • Study the market and analyse areas of opportunities, dealer network, past claims data and seek inputs from underwriters on preferred makes / territories; build different inputs in the strategy to devise action plan for the region
  • Analyze, review and communicate the breakdown of the region’s target for RSMs / ASMs; motivate the team and build a case to set and achieve stretch targets
  • Create and track monthly execution plan based on targets received; discuss new opportunities to tap with the team and provide guidance in charting a plan to do so
  • Sales Review
  • Monitor key metrics and targets across the states daily / weekly / monthly basis; drive team to ensure retention of existing business as well as capture new market share by onboarding new dealers, etc.
  • Engage with the ASMs regularly and conduct informal and targeted reviews every month, to monitor key metrics and targets around ticket size, product mix etc., track achievement and take corrective measures
  • Track daily / weekly / monthly achievement against set targets
  • Understand challenges / issues and propose effective solutions to tackle the same
  • Conduct market mapping and track dealer activation level in the assigned region and direct team to drive activation
  • Identify and analyse opportunities and guide team to drive closure for the same; provide guidance in addressing difficult / critical aspects of sales closure
  • Constantly analyze trends in the region and in case of deviations from planned, inform the National Head on a timely basis
  • Regularly track key parameters governing effective sales in the region and analyse low performing territories / states; understand issues and guide effective resolution
    • Participate in region sales reviews at set frequencies with the superior to provide overview of performance of the region; highlight complex issues and team achievements, share key learnings from the region with counterparts to ensure effective knowledge sharing
  • Key Stakeholder Management
  • Engage with large dealers in the region on a regular basis; share business insights, growth plans and new products / schemes in order to showcase organization credentials as well instill confidence in BAGIC’s capability in the area
  • Drive collaboration with other internal functions like Claims / Underwriters / operations in cases requiring cross-functional intervention; ensure that any issue is resolved in an effective manner
  • Analyze team attrition patterns, understand risk profile of team, and drive focused interventions and recognition initiatives to retain team members, in consultation with the superior
  • Sales Training
  • Lead training efforts in the region for upskilling of team to better deliver in terms of sales calls, customer management, sales planning, customer service, etc.
  • Provide directions in planning and coordination of training efforts for team
  • Conduct training programs / sessions for the team, on the market, conversion, products, product adaptation to the market, etc.
  • Oversee execution of rewards and recognition policies to ensure reinforcement of right behaviors among team members
  • Motivate and retain key talent in the sales hierarchy and build a strong leadership pipeline in the region
  • Process Improvement
  • Explore avenues of driving sales more efficiently by employing market analytics / insights
  • Collaborate with technology teams internally to drive implementation of tech-based platforms for claims processing, etc.
  • Discuss and analyse on loss making products in the region and share insights with the superior and other internal teams; suggest product alteration to make them more effective and profitable for the business
  • Support different internal teams to come up with innovations / process improvement and drive its implementation for effective sales delivery
