This exciting role offers opportunity to:

  • Perform compilation of monthly reconciliation of bank account to general ledger accounts for the Global Financial Accounting (GFA) team to ensure compliance with established internal and external accounting guidelines and requirements, including GAAP and internal controls, and ensure the integrity of ledgers is maintained. Support department in on-going Sarbanes-Oxley initiatives.
  • Acquire and maintain bank account information and reports, as well as Oracle general ledger accounting data and perform the compilation of the reconciliations using Eaton’s Z-7 Financial Policy format to document account balances and reconciling items.
  • Support the transition of work from benefits accounting by posting monthly entries for pension and OPEB.
  • ICA balancing support, month end ledger accounting
  • Participate in Treasury lead activities to improve Quantum rules for recording and reconciling cash transactions, and for the conversion of existing cash/bank accounts to new cash/bank accounts.
  • Participate in solutioning/implementing standardized cash and balance sheet reconciliation processes.
  • Provide information and analyses for management decision-making. Gather and analyze data for special and ad-hoc reporting.
  • Assist with the recommendation, development, and implementation of process improvements in support of departmental goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain relationship with banking contacts to acquire and store bank account information and reports on Eaton’s network. Develop and maintain relationships with various controllers globally to provide accounting support and financial analysis.
  • Access and store Eaton ledger data utilized in the compilation of reconciliations
  • Controllership for various ledgers including daily and month end transactional activity, preparation and approval of account reconciliations and ad-hoc analysis
  • Compile FBAR report of Bank/GL account balances and variances
  • Participate in and lead special projects and implement process improvements to help drive efficiencies in the finance organization.
  • Facilitate corporate cash receipts, refunds, fund transfers related activities
  • Support and publish interest forecast report
  • Provide ad-hoc data and reporting as required
  • Perform ledger activities (journal entries, allocations, Intercompany OOB issue and reconciliations) to ensure compliance, completeness, and accuracy.

Qualifications

Requirement:

  • Oracle knowledge

  • Proficient in Power BI, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, VBA

  • Degreed Accountant; MBA, CPA, CMA preferred
