Senior Field Service Engineer

You will be working as Senior Field Service Engineer and will be part of Process Automation business for Measurement & Analytics division based in Mumbai, India. In this role you will be reporting to Service Team Leader and will be responsible for executing service work with low to medium complexity according to work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards and safety guidelines. Delivering quality customer service to satisfy customers. Cooperating with customer and other ABB teams, taking actions to identify new service business opportunities for ABB.

Your responsibilities

  • Performing service tasks like installation and commissioning of equipment and routine maintenance independently, identifying technical problems and making analysis through remote or on-site activity in different service categories (installation and commissioning, routine maintenance, extensions and replacements etc.)
  • Contributing to customer satisfaction by executing service work according to customer order and expectation. Maintaining a good relationship with customers. Identifying new sales opportunities and communicates them internally
  • Coordinating, preparing, and ensuring that all materials, parts and equipment are available and at the appropriate quality for service activities
  • Preparing all documents and reports to be signed by the customer representative. Reporting work done in a timely manner and follows up when needed
  • Troubleshooting simple equipment failure and makes recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future
  • Providing recommendations to management to improve operations and customer service
  • Travel - 70% domestic(Predominantly Western part of India )

Your background

  • Graduate in Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics & Instrumentation)
  • Minimum 6 to 10 years of experience in analytical products, gas chromatograph and continuous gas analyzers
  • Experience in managing service engineer team in cluster west
  • Experience in managing service calls, annual maintenance contract and erection & commissioning calls
  • Take care of service execution and service revenue of cluster west
  • Preferred Industries - Power, Cement and Oil & Gas.
