Roles and Responsibilities

Sourcing Suppliers and maintaining long-lasting relationships for respective categories,
Submit Request for quotes from different suppliers and conduct price breakdown comparisons to ensure accurate and competitive pricing across the category.
Identify potential new suppliers and supporting the supplier assessment, approval and onboarding.
Use Supplier evaluations to generate benchmark matrix for the category, Considering specific products and/or production requirements
Assess potential suppliers capacity and capability to meet business requirements.
Negotiate for assigned projects and categories;
Work with internal business units to improve suppliers quality, service and cost
Support cross functional activities to sourcing, costing and pre-production product development.
Maintain project schedule for the development of products and suppliers from initial sample stage through to production launch
Consider testing and production requirements upfront and involve Quality Control and Engineering teams to resolve.

Desired Candidate Profile

Post-secondary education and/or equivalent in a related field of study
Minimum three years working experiences in a related field of study
Engineering background or experience would be considered an asset
Interpersonal skills to develop and manage relationships
Strong project management, ability to successfully manage multiple tasks
Negotiate effectively with strong written and oral presentation skills
Ability to think strategically with excellent quantitative skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently
Able to communicate with suppliers existing across multiple time zones, with an understanding that communication may be necessary after regular business hours.
International Travel might be required in the future
