POSITION DESCRIPTION

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Supplier Due Diligence and Risk Management Specialist will primarily support the Global Procurement organization by delivering global supplier onboarding & maintenance, risk assessment and due diligence of the requested suppliers, as a part of Procurement Service Centre (PSC) based out in New Delhi. Reporting to the PSC Operations Manager, you will ensure systems and process are updated to accelerate value proposition for the company.

  • Deliver the screening process and act as the procurement point of contact for the same.
  • Support the supplier screening process providing time zone, language and local office coverage for all supplier and business issues.
  • Be the point of contact for and resolve all supplier screening enquiries, building and maintaining relationships whilst being sensitive to local requirements.
  • Complete the due diligence checks (Sanctions, Anti Bribery and Corruption checks (ABC), financial, reputational, legal, etc) by looking into various databases, search engines, risk tools and assess the risk and recommend mitigation plan.
  • Manage/collect/load all necessary documents for suppliers e.g. regulatory/compliance /tax/legal documentation in the system [including the necessary stakeholders follow ups to secure compliance].
  • Ensure a strong governance mechanism is in place for effective supplier on boarding including risk attributes gathering, due diligence checks and risk assessment.
  • Act as a control point to ensure good stewardship and compliance to the supplier screening process, being vigilant for and escalating potential fraud activity, or risk concerns.
  • Adhere to the SLA for various operations activities to be undertaken by supplier management (SM) service line.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of completion for all supplier management support tickets/incidents and escalations routed to PSC.
  • Maintain vendor master data in our system to a high level of data integrity, and in our supplier portal also manage supplier distribution list and mass mailing.
  • Engage with the business stakeholders, suppliers and internal control groups (eg Risk, Legal) to ensure successful supplier risk assessment completion.
  • Support administrative efforts across procurement functions through data gathering and analysis, auditing metrics, and enhancing program deliverables
  • Manage/Collect/Load all necessary documents for suppliers e.g. Regulatory/Compliance/Tax/Legal documentation in the system including following up to get the same

The successful candidate will have procurement expertise in all procurement operational processes related to supplier due diligence and supplier risk management, relationship building, and sensitivity to local requirements. He or she must possess a very high level of self-motivation/drive, persistency, resourcefulness and a willingness to facilitate change.

The Procurement Associate will primarily support the Procurement Service Center (PSC) covering all gamut of supplier risk activities including all types of supplier due diligence checks, follow up diligence, connecting with business for risk assessment and ensuring systems and processes are updated to accelerate value proposition for the company.

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

  • University degree or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience preferably in a service center, doing due diligence, risk assessment, running procurement operations or procurement consulting
  • In-depth knowledge of end to end supplier risk management processes including Anti-bribery and corruption and due diligence checks
  • Understanding of due diligence tools like D&B, LexisNexis etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and oral and written communication skills with experience of managing multi geographies across time-zones
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Global Experience within the professional services industry in procurement or related function
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to set priorities, attention to details and tenacious with follow-ups
