The Cloud Solution Architect oversees the LG Private Cloud and will Lead Landis+Gyr GCP Journey. This Involvement is for the architecture, security, design, and testing of the integrations & interoperability of software programs, vendor applications, and third-party solutions on the Private and Public Cloud.

As the subject matter expert, the Cloud Architect must also Learn and Lead Landis+Gyr LG Cloud ecosystem, its applications deployment, and associated challenges.

The ideal candidate will be business-focused, possess strong technical aptitude and excellent client-facing communication skills. Successful candidates will be able to bridge the gap between business and technology, manage client resources, drive technical solutions to timely completion, and identify, analyze, and extract key data from heterogeneous systems.

This role works closely with a wide variety of customers, TechArchs, Security Groups, IT Office, Program Office, Program Managers within L+G and the customer’s team to generate solutions for LG Cloud and GCP Cloud.

Key Responsibilities & Skills

• Assist with the Architecture and design of a multi-account, multi-region, highly available and highly automated GCP/AWS/Azure environment to support mission-critical applications.
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement enhancements to the current architectural and security services.
• Proactively mitigate business service disruptions with designed redundancy, backups, and highly available solutions
• Integrate security best practices like SecDevOps, , Identity and Access management, encryption, and security analytics leveraging Google’s solutions including Cloud Identity, Cloud KMS, Apigee, Cloud Security Command Center, and Container Registry to support dynamic and immutable cloud infrastructure.
• Should be well versed with Cloud Costing for SaaS, PaaS and IaaS models and ability to present to stake holders and customers.
• The candidate would also work directly with the Internal stake holders and external customers leading the Cloud Migration projects (On-Premises to Cloud or Cloud to On-Premises)
• Experience with broad understanding of Cloud solutions and industry best practices

• Ability to craft and articulate enterprise-wide strategic cloud solutions.
• Working knowledge of Storage and Networking from a Cloud platform perspective
• Hands on experience in any Identity Cloud Services.

• Experience with DevOps tool such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Cloud Run, Cloud Function etc.
• Exposure to big data / advanced preferably with Google tools like Big Query etc.
• Good understanding of network topologies

Core Activities

• Create and Build Cloud Design for LG Applications over LG Cloud and Private Cloud
• Participate in Critical tickets along with the product team to meet customer SLAs.
• Experience in Migrations, Upgrade, and Installations (On Premise to Cloud and Vice Versa)
• Experience in framing Security, High Availability, Backup and Recovery Specifications on the cloud
• Participate in Upgradation and new Installs of the LG Applications.
• Capacity and Cost planning for the expansion and new deployments
• POCs for the new solutions
• Experience writing standard operating procedures, system requirements, Architectural documents, Architectural diagrams.
• Experience in Automation (Ansible, Terraform)
