Responsibility

  • Plan, manage and monitor inspection plans and inspection schedule for static equipment and piping of the plant
  • Manage performance of regular On-stream Inspections on all critical process equipment such as Pressure Vessel, Fired Heaters, Reactors, Heat Exchangers, etc. to ensure that concerned equipment are operated within design limits, and issuing reports
  • Review operating conditions to assess and monitor corrosive conditions and evaluate the material performance in process streams and suggest preventive and corrective action to ensure mechanical integrity of static equipment and piping
  • ‘Fitness for Service’ evaluations in case the equipment is working outside of design envelope.
  • Enhance equipment reliability by identifying bad actors & recommending process/design changes, review and provide inspection support to unit enhancement projects (including MOCs & Turnarounds) and recommend substitutes for material used in static equipment & piping in order to continuously improve unit reliability
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis of failures on static equipment & piping, recommend corrective & preventive actions
  • Review Inspection Requirements (ITP’s) for bulk material and static equipment during PR stage, Review & Approve QAP’s, Review of documents for issuing Dispatch Clearance, and Inspection of Incoming Material in Warehouse
  • Responsible for Turnaround Inspection; planning, execution and generation of Post-Turnaround Reports and giving recommendations for next Turnaround
  • Explore and Deploy advanced ’State of Art’ NDT techniques to enable better assessment of the condition of static equipment.
  • Manage and implement all QA/QC Procedures & Measures to meet the QA/QC Policy Objectives (in terms of construction qualities) adopted for the Plant during the construction stage, along with periodically reviewing the erection activities of static equipment and piping, resolve & guide (to EPC & EPCM contractors) on deviation from HMEL requirements

Educational Qualifications

  • The applicant must hold a BE/BTech in Mechanical/Metallurgy and possess strong subject knowledge.

Experience and requirement

  • The applicant must have experience of 5-10 years working in Oil and Gas or related process industry in the field of Asset Integrity, Static Reliability, Inspection or Corrosion Control. (There are multiple positions available at different levels for varying experience levels.)
  • Proven leadership skills in a high performance environment are must for the Managerial roles.
