Requirements (Duties and Responsibilities):

  • Good understanding of PLC & HMI programming, majorly in Siemens (using Simatic Step 7 and TIA Portal, Win CC), Allen Bradley (Micro, SLC, Compact Logix, RS Logix etc), Beckhoff etc.
  • Good working industrial experience with VFDs, Panel views, SCADA, HMIs, Servo Drives & motors etc. specifically Siemens, Allen Bradley, Parker, Beckhoff.
  • Experience in Machine Design Safety, Risk Assessments (Zero Access Guarding, Category-3/4 interlocks, Sistema evaluations etc).
  • Lead the EHS culture within the department including meeting the EHS standards and Audit requirements.
  • Good understanding of COGNEX/OMRON Vision system. Understanding of ROI, OCR/OCV, Labeling related troubleshooting, Selection of Camera, Lighting and Rejection mechanism.
  • Good experience of working with industrial electrical systems.
  • Develop and implement control and automation solutions.
  • Troubleshooting of manufacturing machine electrical and control systems.
  • Generate/update electrical, system architecture and automation network drawings.
  • Good understanding of networking principles and practices, as well as E/IP protocol.
  • Good command over Calibration and Teaching of Robots (Example: Omron ADEPT robots s600 and s800, Mitsubishi)
  • Good knowledge of preventive maintenance and calibration process
  • Able to handle legal metrology, experience of weighing system.
  • Hands on experience and troubleshooting in PLC, SCADA, AC/DC Motors Control and Drivers are essential.
  • Ability to read and understand schematic diagrams, P&ID prints, blueprints, and control systems.
  • Demonstrable ability to troubleshoot complex multifaceted (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical) systems.
  • Awareness of Database management on SQL Server (for Recipe Management).
  • Awareness of Operating Technology Cyber Security
  • Good knowledge of networks primarily AS-i, Ethernet/IP, ControlNet and DeviceNet etc. and Network Architecture.
  • Experience in Project management - Small strategic projects or larger tactical projects with medium complexity. Experience in managing multiple automation projects simultaneously including design changes to improve equipment functionality and performance.
  • Experience in end-to-end project lifecycle execution from proof of concept through commercialization/stabilization including planning, scheduling, and budgeting based upon project commissioning and start-up schedule.
  • Experience in developing and managing automation partners / vendors.
  • Experience in end-to-end project lifecycle execution from proof of concept to commercialization/stabilization
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles. Using lean / continuous improvement tools and methodologies to improve machine’s reliability, reduce downtime and maintenance cost.
  • Good understanding of compliance, Quality systems, GMP, GxP, EHS&S and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Experience of working in a Unionized Environment, including directing wage skilled trades employees.
  • Lead technicians for machine troubleshooting, root cause analysis and implement effective countermeasures.
  • Design training program and provide/arrange training to engineers and technicians.
  • Maintain adequate and orderly documentation for maintenance department.
  • Identify and implement cost reduction, quality, safety, and ergonomic improvement ideas of limited scope.
  • Implement SOP, Work Instructions and practices for the maintenance.

Qualifications

Qualification & Experience:

  • B. Tech /BS / B.E in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Control Systems, Mechatronics, or Instrumentations with minimum of 10 years working experience.
  • Or M Tech/MS/ ME in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, Mechatronics, or Instrumentations with minimum of 8 years working experience.
