JOB DESCRIPTION

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To create engaging non-fiction content for consumers thereby building Channel / Slot viewership.
  • Coalesce with production team in a day to day basis to ensure highest production quality within approved budgets.
  • To assess, evaluate and refine original and/ or international concepts and/ or formats in alignment with channel philosophy
  • To ensure that Channel’s Non Fiction programming is ahead of competition.
  • To ensure consistent high quality of creative and production.
  • To collaborate with Programming Strategy, Commercial & Marketing team on FPC planning, budgets, communication plan and PR on all shows.
  • To maintain healthy relationships with internal network team & Production houses.
  • To ensure professional development and readiness of the team to move to the next level of responsibility

PERFORMANCE MEASURES

  • Non Fiction viewership
  • Adhering to approved budgets and ensuring profitability. Comparative budget analysis of shows.
  • Number of team members ready to be promoted to the next level.

QUALIFICATION

  • Graduate and/ or P.G. (can be in Mass Communication, Film & TV Production but not restricted to)
  • 8-9 years of relevant work experience in a channel and/ or Production House in the Non Fiction Programming/ Production space.
  • Has worked on various small & large format shows across various genres – Dancing, singing, edgy, niche, quiz, game shows etc.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • In depth Knowledge of Non Fiction Production & Creative Development
  • Excellent Problem solving & decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, persuasion & negotiation skills.
