Scope of Position

The Director of Marketing & Communications is responsible for facilitating public relations and Marketing activities for India and South Asia, with a strong specialization in media relations. The position also entails developing communication strategies, organizing media and social media influencer fam trips, writing and pitching media releases, pitching profiling opportunities for key spokespeople in the organization and providing crisis communications support.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the marketing campaigns and projects in conjunction with the area and region’s commercial targets to ensure profit growth and brand exposure. This includes but is not limited to the following:
        • Hotel Pre-opening Marketing Plan
        • Creative direction for advertisements for localised campaigns where needed
        • Guest and sales collaterals
        • Build brand partnerships and generate consumer event activations.
        • Research, analyse and monitor financial, technological and demographic trend to capitalise on market opportunities.
        • Oversee and audit hotels advertising and promotional activities, including print, electronic, radio, social and direct mail to ensure they are aligned with the brand standards.
        • Develop/adapt promotional materials, which including printed and digital assets.
  • Manage annual media plan and marketing calendar per brand and for ALL – Accor Live Limitless for the area under responsibility.
  • Develop annual communications strategy for India and South Asia with related budget.
  • Serve as the main point person for all media requests, inquiries and interviews
  • Provide media guidance for C Suite spokespeople.
  • Initiate and plan local and international media familiarization (media and social media influencer) trips with local tourism bodies and airline partners.
  • Create press material for targeted media distribution and proactively disseminate this information.
  • Initiate partnerships with relevant brands, organizations and media partners to support the PR strategy for the property and/or restaurants.
  • Support property related pre-opening activities: support pre-opening efforts with PR plan creation, press release approval and distribution of opening release
  • Develop opportunities with lifestyle partners from a local, regional and international perspective to elevate the brand’s presence through events and activities
  • Drive the brand’s corporate social responsibility strategy.
  • Initiate and host consumer and trade media and association representatives to promote specific outlets/events or hotel products.
  • Provide crisis communications support.
  • Support property driven activities when relevant to overall Accor strategy and awareness in the market (on site activities and promotions to be handled by hotel onsite team)
  • Manage PR agency resources for Accor related activities and brand awareness.
  • Submit monthly reports to the Accor regional hub office outlining return on investment (ROI) media awareness/coverage and key activities.
  • Serve as the area primary brand ambassador, ensuring that brand guidelines and standards are in place and updated regularly as needed
  • Liaise with the regional and corporate office on projects to support ACCOR regional campaigns and initiatives.
