Position Summary

ASSA ABLOY India is looking for Director Operations for its manufacturing facility Shree Mahavir Metalcraft Industries at Jamnagar, Gujarat. The purpose of this role is to lead the manufacturing operations encompassing Production, PPC, Maintenance & Tool Room.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Production and PPC activities as per the budgeted targets on daily/Monthly/Yearly basis.
  • Implement Operational Excellence methodologies.
  • To control the production cost within the budgeted figures.
  • Ensure maintenance and upkeep of plant and machinery.
  • Ensure that group safety and sustainability standards are met while manufacturing.
  • Develop and provide motivational leadership in building high performance team & create future leader pipeline.

Skills Required:

  • Knowledge of Operational Excellence Tools and various manufacturing processes like Casting, Machining, Grinding/Polishing, Electroplating, Assembly, etc
  • Hands on experience on VSM, VMI, Lean production practices, TQM etc
  • Ability to drive and motivate large team
  • Possesses a high level of integrity and ownership of responsibilities.
  • Ability to work to deadlines, and flexible to ensure completion of tasks.
  • Organized and methodical, with an ability to focus on the detail of issues.

Education Qualification & Experience required:

  • Engineering Graduate, Mechanical/Production/metallurgy
  • Over 15 years previous total experience, with 5-7 years’ experience in Heading Manufacturing in a reputed organization
  • Ability to work in Gujarat with local language and credentials will be added advantage.
