General Summary


CommScope is looking an individual who is having 5 to 8 years experience in telecom domain preferably in 4G/5G enodeB/gNB testing. Candidate should be capable of performing functional testing and analyzing logs in 4G and 5G RAN and should have E2E knowledge. Candidate should be highly self-motivated and to be able to carryout assigned responsibilities within the project timelines.


Duties & Responsibilities


  • Validating LTE/5G protocols, features and call flows as per requirements.
  • Preparation test plans as per requiremetns, customer requirements and 3GPP specs.
  • Preparing lab test setups for end to end feature validation.
  • Execution of test plan in the lab environment and mimic field scenarios in the lab.
  • Reporting bugs and track it for logical closure.
  • Report status to lead/manager with clear status and impact on issues.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s in related curriculum such as B.E./T.Tech in CS/EC/Telecom


Skills Required

  • Working experience in LTE 4G,5G enodeB/gNB testing.
  • Strong knowledge in 5G and 4G air interface, call processing technologies and network architecture specifically focused on Radio Access Network
  • Must have hands-on experience in LTE Access stratum protocols (MAC, RRC, RLC, and PDCP)
  • Solid knowledge of LTE Access Stratum protocol layers and procedures required
  • Experience with LTE core system interfaces and protocols such as S1-MME, S1-U, S6a, S11, S5/S8, Rx, NAS, S1-AP, RRC, GTPv2c, GTP-U, SGs-AP is desired
  • Good understanding in LTE Mobility, Volte, EPC core procedures.
  • Well versed with debugging tools - QXDM, QCAT, Wireshark, etc.
  • Good log analysis skills to point out problem scenarios.
  • Testing in Unix/Linux environment
  • Automation experience preferred.
