Product certification and Qualification - Telecom Products

Role Summary

Mavenir is developing in house and with 3rd parties a portfolio of radios to support our award winning ORAN software solutions. To maintain the current growth we need a certification and qualification specialist.
In this role you will be responsible for defining, guiding and testing (where required) Mavenir products as they are developed for the market. In addition you will act as an SME in support of checking compliance of development partners and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

· Developing test strategies for telecoms radio certification and qualification including RF test, environmental test, package testing and all relevat tests required to ensure product complies with global standards.

· Select and manage test houses to support product test.

· Develop requirements for product certification and qualification that can be used as a baseline set of requirements for current an future product development

· Liase with Mavenr R&D teams and program managers to ensure requirements are understood and agreed, support product teams as testing takes place acting as an SME expert to address any detailed technical issues that arise.

· Support Mavenir’s 3rd party supplies by acting as an SME expert to ensure product compliance with Mavenir and global standards.

· Develop and execute tests as required by product schedules.

Job Requirements

• Expert understanding of the following specifications and sections relevant to telecoms equipment, 3GPP 36/37/38.104, ETSI EN 300 019, EN60068, GR-63-core, IEC 60721/61000, EN 301 489, GR-1089-core, FCC, NEBS, EN60215, EN60950, Telcordia TR-332 and regional variances of these standards. This is by no means an exhaustive list but should give the candidate a good understanding of the skill set required.

• Demonstratable experience in a telecoms test environment working with defined requirements, test process and tools and generation of test results and written reports, strong radio trouble shooting skills.
• Understanding of HW/SW interface and familiarity in using/driving these interfaces
• Knowledge on digital and mechanical design
• Excellent knowledge of qualification and certification standards and trends
• Excellent inter-personal and leadership skills
• Curiosity to continuosly learn and innovate
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to quickly grasp and adapt to new technologies and concepts.
• Hands on knowledge of RF measurement tools. E.g. Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer etc.
• Knowledge of and ability to generate test automation scripts.
• Qualification:
• BE/ BTech/BS/MS Degree in EE or CS.
• At least 12+ years’ experience in telecommunication industry in relevant roles
