The PD Program Manager is responsible for achieving successful implementation of projects and managing all activities required to define; design; develop and deliver program success ?????? ultimately providing new cardiovascular products to patients with aortic disease. As a Core Team Leader; the program manager provides direction and leadership to a cross-functional product development team; including members with expertise from all areas involved in medical device commercialization. The Program Manager is accountable to the Product Review Committee (PRC) for overall program execution; ensuring team commitments (scope; schedule; and budget per project contract) are met and communicated in an effective manner.

The UST Aortic business develops minimally invasive solutions for the treatment of abdominal and thoracic aneurysms. Endovascular aneurysm repair is a minimally invasive alternative to major open surgery for the repair of aortic aneurysms that results in reduced recovery times and potentially improved survival rates.

Responsibilities:

Leads a cross functional team of subject matter experts within a matrixed organization; through the full product development lifecycle
??????Manages one or more small-scale; developed; or mature programs with well-defined program plans
??????Accountable for project performance; risk management; administration; financial management; budgeting; capital planning; forecasting; and issue resolution

A Day in the Life:
??????Provides input to establishing program objectives; timelines; milestones; and budgets
??????Monitor and ensure alignment of project direction and expectations of senior business leaders to ensure the product or processes meet business; customer; and patient needs
??????Navigates multifactorial problems that arise; requiring detailed information gathering; analysis; and investigation to understand; communicate; and recommend solutions to challenges
??????Directs activities for multiple work-stream teams through managing project plans; resourcing; status reporting; resolving issues; identifying project risks; and accountability for deliverables across multiple functional organizations
??????Establishes meaningful metrics to measure and communicate project progress and quality
??????Provide critical leadership to ensure overall quality of project planning and execution; while minimizing and mitigating project risks
??????Meet business deliverables defined by the Product Development Process
??????Sets clear direction and management that aligns with defined practices and policies
??????Modify and adapt program management processes to fit project needs and improve operational efficiency
??????Communicates and leads meeting with project team and stakeholders; including briefings to higher level management team
??????Provides feedback to functional department heads during Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process and related strategic planning activities
??????Draws upon engineering experience and exercises judgement on technical actions
??????Coaches team members to ensure effective team dynamics; collaboration; and mutual accountability

Must Have:
Bachelor??????s Degree
5 years of related experience in the medical device Manufacturing with demonstrated ability to move ideas from concept to development OR 3 years of experience with Master’s degree.
