PROCESS BRIEF/ SUB-PROCESS BRIEF

The Analytics & Trading Product Development group is responsible for defining and creating products that Portfolio Managers and Traders heavily rely on throughout the trading day. The FactSet tools the A&T group is responsible for include both the Workstation and Web versions of Portfolio View, Market Watch, Time & Sales, Depth Quote, Net House Summary, and the Portfolio Management Platform,

The A&T PD group is seeking a highly motivated individual interested in becoming an expert in the product development process, specifically focused on the tools used by Portfolio Managers and Traders during the trading day. The Product Specialist will work closely with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Product Development, Design, Sales, Consulting, Strategy, and clients to ensure that product offerings serve our clients’ needs and become ingrained in their workflow process.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Gather business requirements from stakeholders and from existing applications and groom them as user stories.
• Help engineering/QA to understand the same
• Ensure high quality by performing testing activities to confirm that software developed meets the acceptance criteria for each user stories.

• Have a clear understanding of FactSet’s reporting applications workflows
• Support FactSet’s application’s by answering questions, troubleshooting bugs, and work on enhancement requests, change requests.

• Identify and respond to business demand for new initiatives and enhancements to analytics solutions
• Work with engineers to fix bugs, test enhancements, and manage releases, client migrations and system integrations
• Work with Knowledge Management team to help write documentation as well as internal and external client communications
• Actively manage and share ideas to improve work processes and output

Eligibility criteria –Skills required, Education & Experiences

• 2-10 years of experience dealing with software applications/ reporting tools both conceptual and application/product level
• Liaise effectively (both written and oral) with engineers
• Ability to work independently and within a group
• Creative thinking to understand clients’ reporting needs
• Interest in learning modern technologies/knowledge
• Understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) & PDLC (Product Development Life Cycle)
• For Senior role, at least 1 year of team management experience is preferable
• Undergraduate (Bachelor’s) degree in Math/ Science/Statistics/ Engineering/ Finance or related field
• Technical skills: Excel/SQL / logical understanding of programing language
