Skilfully manages overall program/multiple projects through effective customer management, cost and quality impacting teams, financials, business growth and strategy

Job Purpose

The scope of the role is centred on managing multiple projects/account, generating revenue, meeting targets by participating in new business development efforts, executing successful program management with focus on organizational goals and customer centricity. Scope also includes resource management, creating roadmap for skill enhancement, customer engagement, managing P&L from annual forecasts to expense control in alignment with business unit’s objective and overall account management and governance

Principal Accountabilities (A)

Technical Management

Competency development
  • Responsible to identify new competency requirement proactively working with sales/SME team/customer and create a roadmap for competency enhancement for current and future projects
Project Management

Project planning
  • Responsible to review project plans, institute changes, and reprioritize as necessary. Enforce to handle post-delivery issues and customer acceptance
  • Responsible to prepare strategy for cost control to create/monitor reporting on project financial and schedule progress based upon project goals
  • Responsible to forecast resource requirement to meet department/project needs
Project closure
  • Accountable to evaluate and communicate final project results (scheduled budget and cost efficiency, project team performance, lessons learnt, and customer satisfaction) to project team and sponsor in a method as agreed in the project specification
  • Accountable to identify efficiencies for future implementations
Risk management
  • Responsible to manage project and people related conflicts and issues
  • Responsible for risk mitigation
Process Management

Process/Productivity management and improvement
  • Responsible to frame and implement effective processes and methodologies that will improve the productivity of the organization
  • Accountable to track resources, timesheets, utilization, and timely invoicing
Customer Management

Manage and build customer relationships
  • Responsible for maintaining clear communication with customers regarding mutual expectations, and monitor customer satisfaction. Build business relationships beyond the project environment
  • Accountable to initiate/conduct program review meetings/board review meetings as per agreed plan
Business development
  • Responsible for expanding engagement with existing customer and contribute to new proposals
Escalation management
  • Accountable for customer escalation management (appropriate escalation to customer/internal stakeholders) through timely reviews, proactive plans to minimize escalations, action plans to handle effectively
  • Conduct root cause analysis in case of issues and follow up with corrective actions

Business and Strategy

Revenue and profitability
  • Responsible to monitor projects profitability regularly and ensures group target on revenue and contribution margin/profit are met
  • Responsible for keeping abreast of industry/technology trends and driving business growth
  • Responsible for tracking contract management (delivery, quality, cost)
Business development
  • Responsible for proactive proposals through account mining (across geographical locations)
  • Responsible for identifying technical solutions which can contribute to revenue growth
  • Initiates ideation sessions to explore new opportunities
Organisation Framing and Development

Performance management
  • Accountable to provide clear goals and objectives to those reporting to this role, follow-up and conduct performance appraisals. Monitor implementation of Individual Development Plans (IDP’s) and retention of critical team members
Leadership
  • Responsible to identify potential leaders and groom them for higher level roles through customized programs and assessments
  • Accountable for effective delegation and collective decision making in the team. Responsible for conflict management
  • Accountable to implement applicable organizational strategies

Technical Focus Areas
  • Hands on experience of executing Automation projects for Discrete/assembly/machine shop/parts manufacturing.
Required – Deep knowledge Fanuc/Siemens CNC Controllers, Rockwell/Siemens PLC/HMI Programming. Projeect Management tools like MS Project experience is added advantage

Required: Vendor Management, Coordination

Required: Resource Management, Revenue planning, Project Progress Tracking.
  • Desirable – Experience in motion control programming, preferable in Rockwell Kinetix or BeckHoff
  • Desirable – Knowledge of plant Historians and reporting tools
  • Knowledge of Engineering package for Technology Upgrade/Migration
  • Desirable – DCS/MES experience
  • Desirable - fair understanding of Low Voltage Electrical Systems
  • Ability to work independently and manage project whole
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to analyze the problem and provide solutions during the trouble shooting situations
